Problem with buying from the USA is the import tax , just got stopped for £70.00

USA $99.00

Australia AU$111.00 - USA $115.35

UK £83.26 - USA $132.42 (this is with K&C UK member discount, otherwise it would be $155)

Canada $99.00 - USA $98.98

Europe 94.00 EUR - USA $119.49

North America doesn't have it too bad in comparison with the rest of us!

Just register with them online, it's free. Make one purchase with them at normal RRP and you will then be able to buy at the 'reduced' price. Therefore AL039 is £97.50 but with membership it is £83.26. No brainer if you collect a lot of them!

Who knows how much the prices are increasing and the reasons why etc etc. My father knows that his train hobby is changing EVERY month as well. Hey the boys in china want a TV as well you know.
Are they looking at a smaller market and pricing the smaller collector out..............think that would be daft.

So not here to answer the why etc. Just help with maths above.

If you compare the eggs for eggs then the USA doller price should not have VAT on so therefore it would be £69.38 which is $110 NOT $132.42. Also Europe have a greater import costs than the USA, meaning the extra is not ours still. So once HRMC, the shippers etc have their bit we are give or take the same.

We have OFTEN been told by UK customers that WHEN they get stung (which more than IF nowadays) for import and VAT etc And then the post office or Parcelforce fee the prices are either more expensive or the same. This then has to be weighed off against, returns, next day delivery (FREE) and of course Mikes charm and wit thrown in for free.

As i say not on here to give the full ins and outs of what K&C in HK do as the prices when they come out to dealers make us all think and work out whats what. i know we have looked at our margins!!

My kids want Ipad minis cheaper in US than here! I want a watch cheaper in US than here, i want to fill my car with fuel Cheaper in the US than here. i want a new wife cheaper in US than here (OK that ones a joke) just wanted to point out it is MORE often than not a product in the UK of anything is more costly here than the US. As you can appreciate as the UK seller of K&C when price comes up it is of course directed at K&C UK as we set the UK pricing. I can assure one and all again this is not an easy task. AND also why we look at our club offering like we do.

Believe me US wives are not cheaper. You should know by your old auctions, winter tigers etc that clearly having a US wife is very expensive. I will be in the dog house but, keep the brit one!!!
