Hi Guys,

In response to a few posts…


1. Too soon for another King Tiger?

Well personally speaking… too soon for K&C … There’s still a lot of other fighting vehicles we’d love to do PLUS a whole bunch that are already in the pipeline for 2013.​

2. What’s next for the RAF?

I’m looking at one particular RAF aircraft just now that we really like..Vehicles? I’d also like to do some kind of Fire Tender and there’s more than a few figures that we’re going to add.​

3. More West?

Definitely yes…But we’ll stick with “Little Bighorn” for the moment as it’s just started…before going off on the RCMP (or Northwest Mounted Police) or Donner Party tangents, sorry to disappoint anyone.​

And that’s the story so far…

While searching ' Fire Engine ' for the RAF range I found this amazing pic with the following description;

A stricken Junkers Ju 88, hit by cannon fire from a De Havilland Mosquito of No. 333 (Norwegian) Squadron RAF, about to crash into the sea off the Norwegian coast, with its starboard elevator collapsed and starboard engine on fire.

Another day at the office for the Mozzie crews;

Cannon fire from a De Havilland Mosquito FB Mark VI of No. 248 Squadron RAF strikes the fuselage of a Junkers Ju 88, during an interception of a mixed formation of 18 German torpedo bombers by 45 De Havilland Mosquitos of the Banff Strike Wing over the North Sea. The Mosquitos sighted the formation about 150 miles from the Scottish coast while returning at dusk from an uneventful anti-shipping patrol in the Kattegat. They succeeded in shooting down nine enemy aircraft without loss to themselves.

A heavily armed merchant vessel is hit with rocket projectiles, during an attack by 31 De Havilland Mosquitos of the Banff Strike Wing on shipping in the anchorage at Aalesund, Norway. Three vessels were sunk and one damaged for the loss of two...

Sorry guys, stumbled across these pics by mistake and they are so good I had to post them, with apologies to Andy for sidetracking his thread, here's the last shots;

The end of this Ju88C of KG 40 was caught on the gun camera of Flight Lieutenant Joseph Singleton's Mosquito II on 11 June 1943. Singleton was leading five Mosquitos of No 25 Squadron over the Bay of Biscay when they ran into a similar number of Ju 88s. In the ensuing battle, one enemy aircraft was destroyed and two damaged.

My pleasure mate. I'd not seen most of these pics before and thought them very good. The quality of the cockpit cameras is very good. Annoyed by the Mossies Stukas hit back!;

The aftermath of an attack by Stukas on vehicles on the Gabes road east of El Hamma. Two lorries blaze after being hit, but the Grant tank on a transporter in the foreground was unscathed, 1 April 1943.
