Why is SF 03 (the humvee) so hard to find and all other pieces seem to be out there?

PS Any help in locating one is greatly appreciated.

Tom

And if anyone's got two they want to get rid of....

I don't know why, but I've got the same problem. Can't recall ever seeing one come up.

The SF 03 was one of the first K&C Items I ever bought. Got it direct from K&C HK before I ever knew about Treefrog. When I got this my God Son was with the Special Forces in Afghanistan.
I would like to have another. I wonder how many were made.

Tom I have not forgot about you and my WWI W.Britain Tank. I’m trying to find out how much I paid for it. Still need to my Inventory software file fixed. I Posted my problem here on the forum but no help yet.

SF 03 - is a collectors item for sure - very few are listed on ebay.

Brad - when was the last time one appeared and how much did it go for??

I don't follow these as I don't collect them but I seem to recall somewhere in the $350 to $500 range. I remember Bill Moore had some a few months back but I know they're all sold.

Tom,

I think this is rarer because the other sets are not that distinctive -- they're soldiers, etc. However, this one is pretty distinctive: a Humvee in polystone and Andy hasn't made, and isn't likely to make, any more modern combat series. I think people tend to hang onto them

Gahh- I was having a bad enough day Brad and now you chime in reminding me of that :(:(

Were you on the level on the Ebay quotes there?? I would be ashamed to say how much I spent on mine.

Chris,

I was on the level about the prices. The Humvee is on a par, price wise, with some of the rarer WW II tanks, such as the WS 23 Panther.

Andy did say once that he didn't intend to revisit this theme, thinking that companies like FOV do it very well. Of course, he has been known to change his mind.

and I still can't find a good home for my Iraqi T62 surrendering...

I had a chance to get a Humvee when they were new and blew it! Oh well...

Gary

The Humvee was originally retired with the plan for a revised Humvee to take its place so no one got too worried when they ran out. Then Forces of Valor started cranking out all sorts of modern vehicles and Andy decided to leave them to it and go forward in other areas instead. By that time the Humvees were long gone and those who hadn't bought one were out of luck.

Another example that we must BUY EVERYTHING when King and Country Releases it - right Shannon ? :D

Well,

To any that have that Humvee, I have a few duplicates in my collection that are (in my opinion) nice.

1. AK20 (Afrika Corp Halftrack, Demag, etc) Mint in Box
2. 88 Gun WS57 great shape, as all others, had minor minor miscues in shipment. Excellent In Box
3. AE03 Egypt Chariot, this is truly a unique piece, luckily, I have an extra that only had 2 minor issues Wheels dislodged from base, NOT broken, so easily repaired and missing a minor piece on the bridle, if I didn't tell you that, you wouldnt know.

Anyhow, these are always out for trade for the right piece.

Of course, multiples would be offered for the Goering's Staff Car or the Humvee, I am sure something can be worked!
