I went to my TS shop last night and purchased the 77mm with three Turkish crew. I paid my money and was handed (or grabbed depending on the outcome of legal action) the appropriate box.

When I returned home to enjoy the post TS purchase cabinet rearranging ritual, I found something odd about my purchase. K&C have appeared to have made a number of errors in my 1917 era weapon. The camouflage pattern is wrong, the uniforms seem inappropriate for the Turkish army circa 1917, and the gun shield is too small. It is as though K&C have ignored the rest of the range and just made a weapon based on pieces laying around the office.{eek3} What other interpretation can there be?{sm4}

When I rang my TS shop – where I had just spent the better part of two hours – I was met with the question ‘who am I talking to’?

I wonder what the proprietor of your local TS shop, who I believe posts here sometimes, will say.

Time will tell what his response will be, but one thing is certain, it will not involve the word 'discount'{sm4}

Coupling the words "discount" with the words "King & Country" can get certain proprietors in trouble.

Well, I can see where there might be some confusion here. The Turks did fight on the German side.
:salute::

Seriously though, I hope they will just swap it out for you. Is the set number correct on the box?

Matthew

You are in the wrong Jack. If you paid for the Turkish set but got the German set which is more expensive, you still owe the dealer the $10 difference. {eek3} Better get back there and settle up.:wink2:^&grin

I would ... but I forget his name and have lost the address.

In that case. you've done your best and there is nothing more you can do. Other than send the set to Obee and have him paint it up to look Turkish.

All good ... I am just teasing my dealer for a few cheap laughs as a distraction from a pile of work on my desk that really must be done before Monday.

A simple case of the German Pak set in the wrong box ^&confuse Nice set though....isn't it. {sm3}

Much more simple even than that - I was handed the wrong box!

Jack mate,
Consider yourself very lucky that your "dealer" is not a chemist (pharmacist) and handed you the wrong box.^&grin^&grin Come to think of it, I really not sure what your dealer and mine does deal in.
This is all getting too much for me. I think I need to leave the country.{sm4}
Cheers Howard

Yes, come to Texas Howard. You will get all of the King&Country that you want. :wink2: See you soon at the show. !

Ah, so the thread title could read "I did not check what I bought till I got home" {sm2} {sm3}

I would reply aggressively except for the fact that

1. You are a Texan so there is a 50 percent chance you are tougher than me.

2. You were in the Army (not the Marines but still pretty tough) so there is a 75 percent chance you are tougher than me.

3. You have been on active service so there is a 100 percent chance you are tougher than me.

So ... all I can say is ... very amusing PA{sm4}

Whilst there are definitely no discounts available, I may be able to pop into the shop and pick up a second hand set at a handsome price!

When the going gets tough
the tough.......................
.............. buy toy soldiers

A Tale of Two Sets.........

The desired set AL105
AL015(L).jpg

The incorrect set WS165
WS165(L).jpg

I would just take it back and get the correct set.

There are times I do not understand Aussie humour and this must be one such time. I apologise if I have misunderstood the thread. That said, I am quite sure this has nothing to do with King & Country accuracy.

Raymond.:confused:
