A Tale of Two Sets.........

The desired set AL105

The incorrect set WS165

I would just take it back and get the correct set.

There are times I do not understand Aussie humour and this must be one such time. I apologise if I have misunderstood the thread. That said, I am quite sure this has nothing to do with King & Country accuracy.

Raymond.

Raymond

I took the wrong set without checking and it is actually my fault. I was trying to goad my dealer into responding for the humour of it but he has been quite determined not to defend himself. It has nothing to do with K&C, just an attempt to have a laugh here in Brisbane on a slow Friday afternoon.

Jack

They seem the same to me Raymond

Brad,

Thanks. My gut feeling was I was not reading this right.

I was going to delete my post, but you were too quick.

By the way, they do look the same.^&grin:tongue:

Raymond.:)

I wonder what the proprietor of your local TS shop, who I believe posts here sometimes, will say.

Brad,
I am thinking of one of the following "defences" :

a) It is part of a cunning plan to get Jack into collecting WWII Germans. However a smart legal type might spot that the cunning plan involved a "discount". Since I could not admit I gave a "discount" I dont think this cunning plan defence is going stand cross examination.
or
b) Wayne WA and TomNT suggested it to me and donated $5 each to make it happen without a discount. Probably going to involve bribes to make this defence stand up. Perhaps not a defence but more a conspiracy with the fellow conspirators not realising they were in it.
or
c) It is all Phil's fault as he was in the shop at the time and is not likely to read this post and be able to deny it. In order to prove it is Phil's fault I might have to convince another forum member who was also present to give false evidence.
or
d) It is K&C's fault as box is same size and colour as AL15. Naturally this might not be a good line to take either.
or
e) It was the "balck cat" that switched the boxes.
or
f) I was mindful of something Jack posted the day before :

It has been a tough week - mis-spelt the title, put the thread in the wrong section and forgot to cover the figure's base. Tomorrow promises to be worse.

What can I say other than his promise came true and this is the thanks I get !!!

Please note we will not be running with the tired old it was a mistake line of defence. As we all know TS proprietors are always right so that could not possibly be the reason.

Regards
Brett
PS Anybody notice the high number of views this thread has attracted. Perhaps the title drawing
people in or could be just people waiting to see my response.
PSS Somewhat appropriate that certain posters will be having Turkish food for dinner tonight and Jack
will get to see his AL15 whilst ordering his sheeps eyeball appetizer.

Someone help me - I dozed off in the middle of this reply. Was it his fault or mine?

Ah, so the thread title could read "I did not check what I bought till I got home" {sm2} {sm3}

That happened to me in Thailand once...................:redface2:........:wink2::wink2:

Personally speaking i would keep the German gun.

Hi Brett

Just arrived in Shenzhen to attend a friend's wedding.

I was really shocked. The Balck Cat is indeed powerful.

At the same time, you must be on the what we over here call the billing push to meet the half annual sales numbers. Lol.

So, Jack please help to pay the difference for the WS set and in addition, collect the ALH set. Then, everyone will be happy. You are about to embark on a different way of collecting. Brett is not trying to sell you WS, but trying to get you to buy all the guns that K&C have released before. Next you might find a Nap or AR gun on your next purchase. It is a different way to collect. ^&grin

Thks,Chris

Brad and Jack,
Cancel all previous possibilities. I like this one :

"I took the wrong set without checking and it is actually my fault".

This is one case where the saying the "customer is always right" clearly applies.

Now slow down this thread as I need to unpack some papyrus boats !!!

Hi Jack,

It's Friday. Time for a cold one. Someone said that you only drink Coke.....so this one is for you.:wink2:

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Yes - only Coke. My wife - who is perfect - once observed to some rather startled American friends that I was a 'Coke addict' when she met me. The whole table went quiet. To this day I think she did it on purpose.

A thread like this can hit over 450 views in just a few hours. I do not recall this being posted when I board the plane this morning...

.......I'm picking Jack simply ate a dodgy Kebab for lunch and it's all gone down hill from there........{eek3}{sm2}

Jack,
150 views since my last post and now over 500.

Next time you do a diorama you know what kind of title to use to attract viewers.

Brett

High time you moved into WW11 Jack and what better way to start with this great set. This could be the start of something here, reckon Brett has planted this to win you over. {sm4}, Robin.

.......the 'balck cats' out of the bag......deep down Jack really is a bit of a closet WW2 collector and he's now inadvertently finally revealed his hidden passion{eek3}{sm2}{sm5}:wink2:

Seen worse!!! Send the ALH back and keep the Waffen SS
Mitch

I would reply aggressively except for the fact that

1. You are a Texan so there is a 50 percent chance you are tougher than me.

2. You were in the Army (not the Marines but still pretty tough) so there is a 75 percent chance you are tougher than me.

3. You have been on active service so there is a 100 percent chance you are tougher than me.

So ... all I can say is ... very amusing PA{sm4}

Thanks Jack, I knew you were a great Chap. :salute::

I went to my TS shop last night and purchased the 77mm with three Turkish crew. I paid my money and was handed (or grabbed depending on the outcome of legal action) the appropriate box.

When I returned home to enjoy the post TS purchase cabinet rearranging ritual, I found something odd about my purchase. K&C have appeared to have made a number of errors in my 1917 era weapon. The camouflage pattern is wrong, the uniforms seem inappropriate for the Turkish army circa 1917, and the gun shield is too small. It is as though K&C have ignored the rest of the range and just made a weapon based on pieces laying around the office.{eek3} What other interpretation can there be?{sm4}

When I rang my TS shop – where I had just spent the better part of two hours – I was met with the question ‘who am I talking to’?

Jack does have some taste he considers me a mate after all.:wink2: so he will keep the very good ALH and take back the dodgy Waffen SS as he should...:rolleyes2:
Wayne.
