I'm new to the board and wanted to share my humble collection of Napoleonic, Crimea and Zulus..
I painted some of the Highlander figures many, many years ago..
Apologize for the terrible picture quality;

Welcome aboard mate and good to see you posting some pics of your collection.

Nice collection Ed. Like those Trophy Crimea. If you look at the Trophy section you'll see a lot of Crimea from Martyn (GICOP) and myself.

Nice collection, Ed, and welcome!:smile2: Really love the old K&C Glossy Seaforths and Zulus.^&cool^&cool

Thanks Wayne; I hope to post better quality pics next time.

Brad,
I don't have any Trophy figures (yet :wink2: ) - those are Frontline, Britain's and Tradition.
- However it was all the wonderful pictures of Trophy Crimea figures that led me to this website after a google search.

Hi Louis and thanks; I bought those old K&C in Hong Kong during the mid 80's over the course of many trips.
- this is before the K&C store moved into Ocean Centre.

Welcome to the forum, M'sieur le Marechal! :D Nice collection! Are you still painting?

Prost!

Hi Brad; thanks very much for the kind welcome!
Started collecting at 16 and so some of these figures are "survivors"..
Haven't painted in many years. No longer have the patience.

Cheers!

Wanted to post a pic of my one display cabinet. (sorry for the quality):
Toy Soldiers Cabinet.jpg

I'm thinking to get a small wall cabinet for the other side of the window - it would be for my Stadden and other matt figures.

Nice cabinet ... but might i ask, what time of the day was this pic taken ? Not too good a photographer myself but I would guess that a higher level of ambient light might be better.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm sorry for the rather blurry pic, but just wanted to show the cabinet - it was my mom's "special china cabinet" which I appropriated for my collection.

Whatever the style of the cabinet, I think glass shelves and interior lights are good to have. You can find reasonably priced cabinets at places like Ikea, but even at discount department stores like Walmart or Target. Keep your eyes open at all times, of course. I have a cabinet that I spotted when I was out riding my bike, it was used in a dentist's office, and the owner was selling it for $50. I went back for it, and am working on refinishing it. It's got glass faces on three sides. I haven't decided whether to replace the solid shelves with glass, because it's a nice wood, might be cherry.

Prost!

Brad, did you get the blood splatter off?

This is a very nice collection. Congratulations. I think gloss is a good choice for Crimea.
