I dont know if any of yall saw the believe commercials for halo 3 but the diorama one was quite awesome. Now no matter if you play halo or not you have to agree that it would be sweet if KC did some halo figures so we could make our own believe dioramas. Though they would have to change there slogan to "Hand made history, and future."

Cool, i think halo has been killing my homework average.

I Must Be A Special Ed Student Because It Took Me 4 Hours To Get Past Level 1.

Richard, Wizkids Games is coming out with a collectible miniatures board game based on Halo. Not exactly K&C quality, and the size of the figures is probably a lot smaller, but they're cheaper too and won't break. I collect their Mechwarrior figures without playing the game.

That's a good advert and i've completed the game too. It was quite short but really good. I played it on normal difficulty so now I'm going to try it on the heroic.
Only bit I thought was really hard was the Flood level in High Charity where you have to rescue Cortana.

I've played Halo 1 and 2 on the 'old' Xbox - sadly, I don't have a 360 - but it really does deserve all the hype and almost universal praise it gets IMHO - a truly great game - the Flood are HORRIBLE - the only bits in the game where my hands get REALLY sweaty are when THEY show up -

Can't you tell toy soldier news is slow lately? ;)

I can't bring myself to buy a 360 - the price is still high, I was hoping for more graphics power from the supposed "next-generation" systems (PS3 especially), I don't want to help Micro$oft monopolize the video game industry like they have the PC market, and then those reports about all of the broken down "red ring of death" systems... Problem is the Wii (dumb name) and PS3 (overpriced toaster oven) don't look any better... I'm thinking of sitting out this console generation in favour of a new PC.

You are right! When the Flood showed up I groaned and thought Oh God here we go! There is something really disturbing about them and they are way harder to fight than the Covenant because they try and swarm you rather than use tactics against you. Plasma sword and machine gun for the win!

And yes Samurai toy soldier news must be slow atm :)

The flashing red lights of death happend to our 360 so we sent it back and they replaced it. Then this horrible affliction happend again and we had to wait to recieve ANOTHER new system:eek:

I have played Halo 3, but I do not own it (I only have an XBOX). I like how they brought back some of the weapons from the first game. I would like to get a 360, but I don't want to spend so much on something I will leave behind when I go to college.

Believe me - you wont leave it behind for long when you are in College !

I remember (now, about to show my age ) playing a 12 Hour Game of RISK !! When you have lots of people it never ends......

I used to play risk, and then I bought a similar type of game, but for PC. Then I forgot what boardgames looked like!
I think I would bring my 360 to college (depending on the shool), but I am not so sure I would be permitted to by a certain younger sibling...

thats because normally when you send your system in they send the same one right back

My eldest son only has a few weeks to go until he completes High School and I put off buying XBox 360 and Halo 3 as he (and I) are more than a bit addicted to Master Chief and his buddies.

Do you think I should hold out for his exam results before committing to buy? ;)

Btw, is my mate Chips Dubbo (the Aussie Marine) in Halo 3?

Oz,

It depends on your son. My son works well with incentives and this was an incentive for him to do well in school. Now, that he has it, it's also something we take away for poor conduct and grades.

BUY IT NOW! You will not regret it, plus the only rewards for school should be where it can get you.
