Hi all, been working hard to getting the weight off these last few months, so far, so good...down 40 lbs and working on my next goal which is that 50 pound mark.

Looking good there Sammy, it's not easy to loose weight, especially this time of year. My employer basically closes down for Four weeks over the holiday period, and I've been taking it easy and maybe eating too much. I did some security work for them over New Years Eve, some fun times there, and did some work around the house. To be honest I did stuff all "work around the house", mainly just watched heaps of War Movies/Documentaries, played Halo Guardians to the early morning, reorganized some of my Toy Soldier displays and spent some time on this forum. But it's all good, and a cheap holiday....for a change. Both sons are currently visiting with their girlfriends, a rare occasion when we all get together, must take some pics of them as don't see them often.

Great job, Sammy. I lost the weight battle long ago, so congratulations to someone who hasn't.:salute:: -- Al

You do look trimmer. So, how'd you do it? I think inquiring minds would like to know your reason for success.

Sammy,

Looking good brother...I am going to use your picture in my avatar and make people think I am a handsome Arizona man. Lol! Yeah, its always about the weight isn't it. i got to drop a few so I am going to sugar detox for a while...its what my doc said to do.

One way that works is to spend all your money on this hobby, which leaves none to buy food. Robin.

Thanks to all for the kind words, as far as losing the tonnage basically stopping fast food, more exercise on my days off, and sticking to my guns on my weigh ins and fitbit tracker.

Sam, I hardly recognised you!!! Looking good mate, if you weren't married you would be a chick magnet picking up all the chicky babes! ^&grin

Good job Sammy; one suggestion is to give yourself a cheat day, so you eat right 6 days and come off the rails for 1 day. Mine was Sunday; I'd stick to my guns M-S to get to Sunday and eat what I wanted.

What you'll find is over time, on cheat day you'll say "The Hell with it, I'll eat clean today too" and pretty soon, you won't need a cheat day.

Best of luck; as we age, we have to take care of ourselves, diet and exercise are the two keys................

Thanks George, .....my cheat day is Saturday after my weekly weigh in, all bets are off that day and come Sunday I'm back on the wagon, as you mentioned I'm actually finding Saturday more and more easier to find better alternatives that day to chow on.

My diet was on an episode of "Cheaters".

Yes to all the recommendations. Sammy your the man! I am trying hard to match your gumption.
