A new Konigstiger (1 Viewer)

Release was supposed to be in 2015; but it never happened. I purchased mine from Y-Weido on eBay for $145.00 with free shipping. Y-Weido seemed to think they were preproduction prototypes.
I asked Brian at TCS about them; but I never received a response. The Panzer comes in the typical TCS box and has 1 figure plus the damaged track option. The scale is 1/28 and is perfect for K&C, TG and TCS figures My Winter Diorama shows it with both K&C and TCS figures.

Bought mine from the same seller, free shipping. Really happy with it. Robin.

Sure those KT's were slated for release. But we never approved them as there were a lot of problems with the paint not adhering to the surface and not passing the requisite drop test ( a lot of breakage ).

If all that wasn't enough right before the ship date we discovered that Ye-Weidong was illegally reproducing our 1/6th scale statues and selling them in China! What a headache! A full cluster. In fact we found that he had two parallel warehouses. On one hand he was doing models and shipping them to us and then on the other hand he was producing and warehousing them for himself! Need less to say I was devastated. So I pulled out of his factory leaving the KT's behind. There was really nothing else to do.

In fact you'll notice a myriad of suspect items in his EBAY catalog. He's spent the last 12-24 months trolling whatever mold masters he can find and reproducing them. Sadly, China just has no system in place for controlling this sort of theft.

Cheers!

Brian

Thank you for the history of this TCS Kingtiger Brian. If you still have the molds you should consider manufacturing it at a different factory that is more reliable. The example I have arrived intact and I consider it a very nice model. Your design is excellent and the detail on the tracks and running gear is the best done to date on a Kingtiger IMO. The size is perfect for TCS, K&C and TG figures.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience and the lack of legal recourse available.

Yes sorry Brian, thought you would be getting something out of this. Not the case. Robin.

Unfortunately, this is not at all surprising.

Robin Question: Is this ED King Tiger 1:28th scale or 1:30th scale?? Most of TCS Tigers are 1:28th scale and NOT 1:30th.....I personnally do not like the paint scheme on this Winter Tiger but I would consider re-painting it.... BUT ONLY... if it's ACCURATE 1:30th scale...Please Advise Thank You

1/28 scale; works best with TCS, K&C and TG WWII figures.

The Winter KT is identical to the Normandy TCS KT's in every way. Nice unit, unfortunately not endorsed by TCS. Robin.
