I must say that considering its only been out about a year now look at the popularity of the Crimean range. Its no wonder really as the quality and realism is superb and imho puts it right at the top and amongst some of the very best stuff K&C has produced. Can't wait to get my hands on Cardigan etc at the London show.

Already starting to imagine what we may get if the chaps at K&C UK move into the Thin Red Line, the mind boggles!

Re the Crimean

I Think it is interesting how it is moving through the ranks on the polls nicley as well!

We thought it was going to be a very 'niche' market but it has been taken well from all over

I think it's still early days for WWI or ACW. A lot is to be expected from these series in forthcoming years. The quality of these figures is outstanding and if you take a look at what's coming up WWI wise, with the KOSB figures, there can remain no doubt that these ranges will keep improving through further variety and sustained quality. That said I am now collecting WWI...in gloss..:D

I'm now in a WW1 Dilemma.I like the look of K&C's WW1 stuff, however i have a large collection of Toy Army workshops WW1 range who stopped trading a wile back. However they are starting up again now and so i have a choice to make?.

Rob

I chose gloss and do not have the room to mix WWI matte with gloss. K&C's figures are excellent but to me it's easier to find more variety by combining several smaller gloss manufacturers ( Premier, Fusilier, Tradition, Soldiers of the World, Beau Geste ). When will you ever get Belgian, Turkish or Russian WWI troops with K&C? Or French zouaves? They probably would not sell enough for K&C to do them. I also love those shiny little gloss soldiers and right now have no room for dioramas. So it all adds up. That said, if I had more room I would reserve some for some special K&C WWI pieces, separately from the gloss section, like the German flagbearer, the staff car or personality figures, or even for a «one figure per regiment strategy». Guess this will help you out of your dilema, Rob....:D

Remember one thing...the smaller series indicates less collectors for that particular time period, less of that particular series will be made rather then the more popular series making them much more rare in the future, (the more collectible and valuable they will be)......:) Mark my words one day the larger series collectors will be saying if I had only known I would have bought them........:p

Naah, its going to be "THE LADY WITH THE LAMP". Trust me on this, I've rolled the bones and consulted the entrails, all indications are TLWTL and accessory figures.

Regarding the details:
striking poses, uniforms and faces, the Fall of Berlin WS063, WS064 are the best well made figurines sets by K&C yet.

I know.
Its been a while since I let The Baaaad Heid out to play.
Just can't keep up the New Nice Heid facade for too long at a time.
At least I never said that I was willing to give them a 2nd chance and to get it right next time.
