Is anyone else disappointed in the 75th anniversary D Day Releases. K & C have bought some new Rangers, plus there will be some new French Commandos, but there has been very little else. Some great T Gunn Germans, but are generic, plus a couple of US vehicles but no D Day stuff. Would have liked to see some new German defenders, new bunker and figure set, no British troops, would have been a winner for me if there would have been some Paras and/or Ox and Bucks for the storming of Pegasus Bridge.

Just thought there would have been more.........

There is also a brand new landing craft to be released by K&C, which will be a welcome addition for those that missed the original ones. Robin.

Good catch here. Of all the possible D-Day additions the LCVP is an item that was sourly needed. My order was in day one .. now just to have it released and sent.

Hi there,
Greetings from Australia...If anyone else is disappointed with the numbers of releases for the 75th Anniversary of D.Day they have been pretty silent about it!

Speaking for K&C I believe we have produced a wealth of D.Day releases over the years that have included British, American and Canadian soldiers, fighting vehicles, aircraft and even landing craft. On the German side there have been many, many German soldiers, tanks, trucks and armoured cars as well as artillery and bunkers & pillboxes.

No company, K&C included, can be all things to all collectors all of the time...Even on a 75th. Anniversary!
It helps though to get a little perspective on the subject.
Best wishes,
Andy.

I meant to write this yesterday but was busy. Yeah, this will look like I'm placating Andy; oh well.

So here it goes anyway.

It's okay to myopic and egocentric; I know, I'm an American; enough said there.

Frankly, I wished Andy would release more items focusing on almost exclusively on American history (e.g. ACW, WWII, Korea-Chosen Reservoir, Desert Storm, etc.), and especially M48 Patton, M41 Walker Bulldog and M113 but he has collectors everywhere including an emerging Asia market. So, it's cool, I'll wait.

So, I hate saying this but it's true, Andy is the King and has earned his stripes over the last 30+ years. Other companies have produced some items better (Figarti, JJD, etc.) but no other company has consistently produced consistent quality, wide breathe of historical eras and delivered on time than King and Country.

Thanks Andy,

Carlos

Can everyone please Shh. :)

Andy is working with Ancient Egyptians, We don't want to disturb him.

He may spook easily, and quit.
