Just a bump as the premier date is approaching. -- Al

So is it a supernatural thriller against the backdrop of the Japanese interment camps?

John from Texas

That’s the impression I got from the trailer.

From what I gather I think it goes into Pacific combat, too.

Anyone watching this? I saw the first episode and although it is well acted it was very slow. I'm hoping they stick to the story and not try to make this PC about the modern era.

I watched Season 2 episode 1 of "Infamy"...thoroughly enjoyed it...

also started Season 1..."Terror"...watched the first 3 episodes so far...it's pretty good too...

Still watching this but it is moving sloooow... -- Al

Been recording it but haven't watched any of it yet.

Yes, my finger has been itching for the FF button. Every time they go to the pregnant woman storyline, I skip ahead. It's really dragging.

Al/Doug...
I thought it has had a lot of action lately...
the pregnancy complications...
the soldier's suicide...
the father's frostbite...
the scene with the flamethrower...
I'm still liking it...
in fact I find it better than Season 1...

Thought tonight's episode interesting mainly because of the one on one exchange between Chester and the PoW. Still not moving very fast but at least it is showing some promise. -- Al

There is a whole genre of Japanese horror/ghost stories both in movies and books that are somewhat interesting. Most seem to involve a young female as the ghost. This show hasn't done a very good job of explaining the mythology to an American audience. They seem to assume the audience knows what they are talking about when they make specific reference to Japanese spirits etc.

I agree. I haven't a clue about the spirits beyond knowing that every culture has it's ghost stories. I have no idea why the characters in this story are being haunted, by whom, or to what end. I'm too far in to just quit watching, so I'll stick around in hopes that it will explain matters as the show progresses. -- Al

Al...
I think the spirit is haunting Chester because he asked for an abortion inducing medication for Luz from Mrs. Furuya in the first episode...
she regretfully gave it to him but then in her guilt...committed suicide on the dock with a hair stick in her ear...
and now has come back as a spirit haunting the whole community...

Mike, that makes sense. Somehow managed to miss that connection. Sometimes I just don't pay close enough attention which can be a detriment to understanding. I tend to jump channels during commercials, checking ball games and such, so I can miss stuff if I'm late getting back. Bad habit, but I blame my advancing years and resultant short attention span.:wink2: -- Al

I have found it best to record everything...
so I can change channels and watch sports then return where I left off on the show...
I always though on Sunday...

LoL. I have 2 Tv's, side by side, to watch the various games, but it's not enough, especially this time of year with multiple baseball and football games running against each other. I also add my computer, so I guess there are 3 screens going. My wife is a very patient and understanding women...fortunately.^&grin -- Al
