I have had these two figures for about 7 years after they came in a batch lot of damaged figures I purchased on EBay.
Going through my boxes, they have been found again, and so I have decided to give them a 'lick of paint' and bring them back to inspection order so they can rejoin their regimental comrades in my cabinets.
They are a British 17th Lancer at Crimea and a US Zouarve from the Civil War and with tinplate bases I think they could be Stadden, but I'm not sure, especially the US Zouave.

First job will be to give them both a covering of paint stripper to reveal the raw metal.
