Hi Fellas,

Happy Holidays! After seeing Terp152's recent Normandy Farmhouse bookshelf display, it got me thinking that it might be fun to share other bookcase dios.

Forgive me for re-posting, but this was Terp152's excellent scene:

Ralph survived the croc attack. After a few beers he'd show his buddies the bite marks on his butt.

Very nice mate, what I do with Bookcase displays were the figures are exposed to dust which is a pain in the butt, is attach / screw on the front perspex sheet,

perfect see the display and no dust or accidents

Real nice displays Howard. I especially like the Vietnam scene with the helicopter. Regards Greg.

The helmets are impressive Chris. Your Romans look amazing. The Roman building is great, but I always have been disappointed about the fact the pillars are too close together and therefore do not allow figures to fit between them. Robin.

Thanks Robin. The helmets are WWII vintage but repaints. THe German helmet is a 1936 Fire Brigade bought at auction for less than $50. Chris

It is not so much a bookcase display that I can show but 3 of my display cases where I display part of my stock. I try to display most of my figures and vehicles so that I know what I have and can choose when I start a new diorama. ( I keep the boxes of every figure and vehicle until I put them on a diorama) These 3 display cases are in my hobby room upstairs. Downstairs I do have another bigger bookcase where I have my collection of hand painted figures and a few K&C dioramas on permanent display.

Robin,

I can't tell you how much I am touched by your homage to the British people persevering in the face of the Blitz. While the worst of the bombing had ended by May, 1941, what the Londoner’s called “nuisance raids” continued. Members of the Home Guard, the Air Raid Precautions Service, and the Auxiliary Fire Service cleared the rubble, rescued the wounded, and buried the dead after each raid. Hell, even boy scouts did their part, guiding fire engines to where they were most needed. The locals called them the “Blitz Scouts.” Despite all this, the Londoners got up every morning and went about their business as if nothing had happened. New Yorkers are tough as nails, but we’ve got nothing on these guys. I was a block and a half from the World Trade Center on 9-11 when the second plane hit, and what I saw that day will stay with me forever. I cannot even imagine the fortitude and courage required to undergo that type of stress day after day for months on end. I will always admire the spirit of the British people, and indeed, all of the members of that Greatest Generation.

Really enjoying all the bookcase displays. Thank you all for sharing and feel free to keep them coming!
