I would definitely be up for JJD P-47! Maybe my favorite WW2 aircraft. two distinct "styles" to consider.
the razorback was the first. many pilots made their names with these. and although they started out with the OD and grey came paint schemes. many had very distinctive nose art and colors. plus later they were left in natural aluminum as well. Could do Neel Kirby, or 56th fight group Francis Gabreski, Walker Mahurin, Robert Johnson. this checkerboard cowling 78th fighter group planes!
I'd opt for Robert "Shorty" Rankin's razorback. He shot down five planes in one mission.
However the Bubble tops have an amazing array of paint schemes! cammo, aluminum even blue patterns on 56th fighter group P47M's. the fastest P-47's.
It would be a very large model. the P47 is much bigger than Spitfires, P-51's and German fighters.
