Metal vs Polystone (1 Viewer)

Ok, before I post, I will first disclaim my ignorance on the subject, this is more of thoughts in general.

I do prefer metal to polystone, however, I buy a good bit of K&C including tracking down retired vehicles that I use to see the evolution of the product.

BUT, as the choices become more vast, as a collector, I have to pick and choose. Perfect example is my debate regarding the K&C SAS items vs the Figarti ones. If I have my information correct (And please someone correct me if I do not), the Figarti is metal, K&C is polystone, price is relative, quality is in the eye of the beholder (both well done in my opinion). Question is why is the price the same, I was always under the impression that metal was so much more costly?

I grew up with the lead and metal soldiers/vehicles/diecast and still prefer that. My biggest pet peeve with polystone is you have to be overly gentle in handling, the slightest mistake can be "tragic"!

Again, this is not to start any argument or debate, I was just wondering out loud.

That's a really good point TD.
I'm intending getting the 1/30 scale Figarti LRDG Chevy's when they are released so's I can display them along with the K&C items I already have. You've got me wondering now if they are mostly metal as well.
Would Rick of Figarti care to enlighten us..??

I don't think the Figarti one is all metal but I could be wrong. I thought it had metal parts. I do know the wheels are rubber (cool). Steven also probably knows. I don't think we'll get an answer until next week.

Yep, I believe Rick Wang is currently in Germany at a toy fair so it might be a bit before he gets back on the forum.
