Just bought the car from Heydrich set... Like it.. got it for a really good price.. Will use it for something else of course as a staff car in a diorama.. Got these pictures from the net.. I must say that if a company is trying to depict some real historic event.. they really should aim at getting it as close as possible ... You can't get criticized for a bad paint job or even a bad sculpt.. but getting the color right or the right car ... well it's usually the easiest thing..

The color sure has been discussed before

A quick check of the picture below reveals that the vehicle also had a flag on one fender and an airfilter or whatever it is on the other. The headlights should be blacked out, the front fender is different, and it doesn't have the Mercedes star on the radiator, and a few other differences I guess.

No doubt a few of these items have been omitted because of legal issues, but the main worry was the color imo. It's a shame really because the model is a little beaut and has great interior detail. But I guess you can always give it a respray if you don't want to use the car as is.

Great idea Rob, I thought they could be trying to rescue the French guy from the Citroen CV set at the same time- at least the story could have a happy ending then.

Thats right RD,and with the resistance figures available now we could have real ambush scenario.The prisoner in the Gestapo car is obviously very important and is being escorted by the car with high ranking officers who are going to interrogate him.Perhaps a haycart or other vehicle is thrown across the road and the resistance leap into action!
