Hello to all:

I have noticed that Mr. Neilsen hasn't been around a lot lately and Brad has certainly commented on that fact on numerous occasions. I would just like to say, should Mr. Neilsen be reading this from the sidelines, that I do still very much enjoy his posts and commentary and really wish he would return. I have found one of the attractions of this forum has been that we, the community of fans, are given access to the movers and shakers in this hobby. I don't have some of the back channel access to him like some of the other collectors here do so this forum has been a great tool for me to hear from guys (and ladies) from all the companies. He has been a real pleasure to have on board and I know I enjoyed reading his post in my "favorite uniforms" thread- among many others.

Bottom line- hey Andy- I know things have been a bit crass lately but you still do have a committed legion of fans like myself here. I can appreciate if you are frustrated with the "haters" but there are still scores of us who are with you till the last shots are fired. It's time to get back in the saddle and continue the charge!! :)

Anxiously awaiting your return,
CC

February 7th was Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. Typically, most companies close for 3 to 7 days during this period, with many people taking the opportunity to take a vacation since kids get two weeks or more of break.:)

Thanks for the comment Steven and allow me to concur with Chris. I am new to the toy soldier game (I've just irritated half the forum by invoking the term "toy", lol) and have been impressed with the participation of Andy. I look forward to his return.

I very much agree with Chris, for me Andy's partcipation is one of the things i enjoy most on the forum. To have the ear of the man at the top is both unusual and helpful. His dispatches are very enjoyable and its good to get a heads up on whats on the way.Its also clear he takes on board what forum members are saying, you only have to look at Arnhem/French resistance to see this.I hope he will be on the forum again soon.

Man, I need to move to China!! :) That's a sweet deal. Well, I hope that is the case. I know that has been offered before. Perhaps Brad is just making me panic. :)

You know - now that I think of it - it has been awhile that Andy has posted.

One hand you cant blame him with all the crap you read on this forum about his art. I just hope he knows there are several of us out here who appreciate his art, efforts and vision for the Toy Soldier Hobby.

I really do not see why you need to be so insulting in respect of the opinions expressed here and for which you are in a disagreement.

Crap is not only in what is said, it is also in the attitude.

Now, try to excogitate. Where is the stimulation for Andy to reply to all the béni oui-oui of the forum? I love you Andy, I need you Andy, talk to me Andy... Maybe he does not want to be the leader of a sect.

Pierre.

True True, :D:D

However, today has seen the "Retirement" of a leader of a major "Sect" so I am hoping we don't see the retirement of another as well :D:D

guys

Andy now with all the new stuff coming out is often up in the factory in China.

As Steven said Chinese New YEar is often a holiday time in China............Bob for example is over here out of HK.

The Andy will have a lot of catch up to do on the business then he flys off for meetings in San Antonio with Laura nd then to the West Coaster so he is flitting all over.

Unlike a lot of the younger guys in the industry Andy does not have a blackberry or a laptop to keep up with forum..........(no disrepect Andy) but he also struggles like my Dad with a Mobile (Cell)

Please remember that Andy is an Owner of a very busy company and as such gets on when he can.........................Oooohhh get me like i control his diary!!:D:D

Just trying to explain guys (although i felt it was moving away from the point i started!!) he is a busy guy!

He is always reading though!!

Ever tried being a Senior Manager at one of the biggest public accounting firms in the planet in the middle of tax season??? :p:p

Hey fellas, look- I hate to sound tediously brown noserish but the guy is still one of us- a gentleman who enjoys the hobby immensely- good, bad or indifferent, no collector should feel ostracized (trying to be like Pierre and use big words :D) from any of the web forums-whether or not they collect KC, Britains, Figarti, etc- this should be the case for any of the collectors here on this forum- from the new kid who gets his first set of plastic figures to some of you fellas who are a bit more jaded in the hobby.

I know, I agree this all does sound kind of pathetic on my parrt :D

Alright, BTW- Pierre- i just got back from my run at the gym- could you please tell me what Excogitate means?? I was tied up on that one on my entire run!! :p

Be well,
CC

No mate, that's referred to as 'Extreme Sports' and is right up there with 'parachute-free free-falling' ;)

"Art" is the main problem with K & C. They seem to concentrate more on what is innovating and interesting rather than if it is true and accurate.
