Yep, it had to happen some time I suppose. Finally had a close look at those limited edition WWI British sets in the new catalog, and within approximately 10 minutes had caved on the early war offerings after all. I ordered up the first few of the 10-11 retired or current sets I feel I must have, including 2 of the British artillery teams (I wish, but just kidding).
The 'Great War' is probably the conflict I've read the most about...volumes and volumes...and as far as recommended reading for anyone interested in the origins and opening moves of the war would suggest The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman (if you have not read it already of course).
So anyway, I'll have the early WWI Britains and eventually the late WWI Britains I was originally waiting for, and for that I am just thrilled.
