    Trophy Crimean War sets

The tartan is MacKenzie of Seaforth, and those chaps are the 78th. At this time the 72nd (Duke of Albany's) were wearing trews of the red Prince Charles Edward Stewart Tartan (Different than Royal Stewart). In the 1850s the 78th wore the white sporran with six white tassels. Sometime after the...

    Maison Militaire's New Website

Has everyone seen the new Maison Militaire Website? http://www.maisonmilitaire.com/ On the home page it says they are producing Trophy. The slide show banner at the top of the page also shows Trophy figures painted in matte. Does anyone have any more information on what Trophy lines they will...

    Need Help in I.D. Regts.

The chaps in red are HLI in the Egypt c1882 and the chaps in Khaki are the Cameronians Scottish Rifles (douglas tartan and black equipment of a rifle regiment) probably the 1st battalion that was in India or the 2nd in South Africa 1899. Though the trewed regiments quickly changed to less...

Thanks Al! I had never seen any like them until I saw your lancers. My dad can't even remember where he got these guys. Sam

    Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898

Great Pictures Al. The Egyptian Lancers have solved a problem for me. My father has a set of Indian Lancers and we could never tell who made them, but the are certainly by the same manufacturers as your Egyptian lancers here. So early Trophy sold as Under Two Flags you say? Mystery solved. I'll...

    Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898

Thanks Martyn. I have a photo from an old trophy catalog, but it is in black and white. I believe they are painted up as HLI. I saw the Scots Guards version at a toy soldier show a couple of years ago and now I regret not picking it up!

    Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898

Does anyone own/have some good pictures of Strategy in the Desert? It is the one set I really wish I owned. I would love to seem some comparisons of the different regiments available for that one. Cheers, Sam

    Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898

When the British army switched to wearing khaki the regiments began to wear helmet flashes, some with the name of the regiment, others just a color or tartan patch. I believe Trophy went with a generic patch that was seen quite often: red with the regimental name in white letters (the little...

I vaguely remember some sets of the Connaught Rangers firing prone listed on the Trophy of Texas site a long time ago. Does anyone have any of these or was I imagining that? Cheers, Sam

I believe that the same figures also came with the Indian Army screw gun set. My Dad has both the siege gun and the screw gun sets, and both have these Indian artillerymen with sticks or crops. This may not be official, however, as my dad got a lot of mixed and matched sets in the early days...
