  • Feeling a bit under the weather today. Nothing serious just a cold. Last year I was afraid of getting a cold for fear of blowing or sneezing my brains out!
I just finished reading "Citizen Soldier". When I think of the trials and tribulations, not to mention the sacrifice made by the American GI's; I feel humbled, also a bit lacking. We are losing those men by the hundreds each week. If you know a Veteran thank him or her!
Made a delicious Lamb Stew. Learning to cook in French manner has really paid off. Brown the meat. Boil potatoes and carrots add the meat. Saute green onions mushrooms and garlic. Then braise, voila!
Hello my fiends! Been fighting the Wars on Facebook building a large Vampire Clan. Just wanted my fellow Treefroggers know that my health continues to improve. I went back to the hospital where they saved my life. According to the attending surgeons there appears to be no lingering physical effects. (They did not recognize me) I went to the three wards I was in and left candy for the doctors and nurses who cared for me. Hope you are all doing well and hope to see many of you at the WC. Be kind to one another.
Well over 10,000 visits! It has to be the name. Been away for awhile on facebook. Got that sorted out. Do any of you have a facebook page?
Hi, thanks for your kind words about the repairs, I love a challenge :)
I've got a scabbard to reattach to another Curiasseur, so thats something different, and then I may show how to fix chipped paintwork including the preparation, mixing colours and finish.
There are some damaged troops coming to me this week from the States, with broken bayonet, missing bayonet, broken arm, so I may also show their ressurection too.
Is there anything you'd like to see repaired?

    Regards, John
Yah know not everything is black and white. The older I get the more I find this too be true. I had so many ideas about what was right and wrong. They were the things I was told or heard when I was little. I am not so sure. I try to remain open but this is not always easy. I would like to take things they come and decide for myself. Maybe, we would all get along better if we could do this.... maybe.
I was overly confident on Julie and Julia night. Did not drain the fat from the pan and burnt the sauce! Fortunately there was another pan and I was able to make a new sauce.
I also picked up a saucier at Draegers last night.
Feeling pretty good these days. Doing some painting. Cooking and getting together with family and friends. I am a lucky man.
bearybones, my forum name, refers back to the dog love of my life, my Cocker Spaniel named Bear. He was an amazing dog. He's buried in my back yard, under a peach tree. My wife and I now refer to him as bearybones. Thanks for asking. George
Hi Guys, Welcome to my page. Chicago was great. I had a wonderful time meeting a lot of froggers Dietz, Wade Pat, Phantom Warrior, Kogu, Mestell, Andanna of course Louis Marc and Andy, Brian and Rick. Many others as well. There were a lot of froggers at the get together put on by Pete, Shannon and Mandi. Gotta tell you guys I am having a pretty good time. Sometimes it may not seem like it but I feel that I am a lucky man. Rich with friends Thank you to all and especially Michael and Myzchka Hall
Still up in the Yosemite area. Nancy went on the half dome trail again but was unable to ascend the ladder this time. New pictures are in the Julie and Julia Night Album.
Heinrich I found the bust, but I have a few projects and a commision right now. Plus a bit of traveling to do . First Legion has a really cool Saracen figure I want to do. 120mm a big kit.
