  • This is one of the examples of the VERY "Poor" Quality treatment by the defunct Kaputnik N Z owners. Moulds RUINED and USELESS because they tried pouring Resinous Plastic into them..... IMG_2024-10-19-08-22-42-477.jpgIMG_2024-09-29-11-29-37-483.jpg
Did any of them know anything about making Toy Soldiers at all?????

There are a number of bad useless or even "rusty" (!!) Moulds such as this we found when we opened the crates from N Z last year. Everything "else" (yes EVERYTHING !) was stuffed into plastic food freezer bags inside broken plastic boxes. Max is "not amused" and a lettter winged its way to N Z, no reply (of course!)....Sniff Sniff Unhappy

I will on suffrance have to continue selling the "old stock" Metal crew figures at ths time, , but meanwhile create NEW Crew figures for the Mountford items. Once old N Z stocks are exhausted, I am going to withdraw the old figure castings and furnish the kits with NEW ones.
It seems a "lot" of the surviving Crew figures for "Mountford" are NOT the quality work from Alain Caton, rather the poor quality items made by the kaput guys. Some clearly come from the old Airfix Polythene Eight Army Set with modified Arms etc. Seen "worse" but these simply are not good enough and should be far better quality.
We wish to jettisson all former Fleurbaix scanned (very old!!!) Photos and replace with ones of what Maryse and I are offerring to sell to collectors in Toy Soldier Hobby world.View attachment 342884

Every single item has to have a fresh new "quality" Display Model to be photographed and used as "our own" material for sales assurrance and customer product QUALITY contentment.

Our MOUNTFORD "H.A.C" Crew in best ceremonial Dress at Hyde park. Primed and ready to assemble into our Display Model. Please understand, we NEVER recieved a single painted Display Model from New Zealand and the Simons. (Mr Kaputnik flogged all of them) .

My wife and Me do have photographic proof for all this. I take no happiness in having to reveal the sad past failures of FLEURBAIX Toy Soldiers. I have asked myself JUST HOW,,,, Did such a thing get to ever happen in the first place? Did pere gregg or Abram ever really have a know how of this Industry at all? or EVER really run a business successfully at all????
Large Mould for 1/32 Scale Horses also filled solid with rock hard shiny plastic substance....totaly impossible to remove clean or separate....ruined Mould which affects viability for a alrge number of Mounted Rider figures.
A medieval Knight and Horse in 1/32 scale, Mould totaly filled with solid shiny plastic substance, possibly failed resin casting. Mould ruined beyond repair.
A Tree Mould filled solidly with a failedsticky white plastic type failed casting, impossible to separate or remove (half of a big sized moud ruined though might be bale to cast farm animals from it*
Though i must say that the vast majority of the Mould toolings we recieved here, were generaly in good condition, there have been a number of nasty surprises which take some creative excuses and explanations (you know lying) to explain. Heres a few examples of the ultimate toy soldier maker "sadness" .....
United States Army General Norman Shwartzkopf (Storming Norman). Gulf War. This is the Resin master for a larger scale item.

Our Launch continues to gain momentum. Some setbacks over Machinery parts (someone stole them !!) have now been overcome this week, and casting from ten Inch Moulds has began. Seven Inch Moulds, including the NEW Ducal figures, re issued, will start around Mid October time.

There are a LOT of DUCAL Cavalry Cavalcade riders which require fresh new toolings. Mr and Mrs kaputnik of N Z sold all the painted display stock heavily on E Bay shortly before "selling" the entire range "onwards" to us. The kaputniks weere supposed to give to us the customer list for the ducal but like the two of them, it just "dissappeared" into thin air.

There remain a few un identified items, such as these WW1 bits and pieces shown here. The MOUNTFORD WW RHA Artillery gun team(the blue shirted gun crew) NEVER arried here, they appear to have been stolen outside the Maison kaputnik in N Z the "night before" shipping to us. (if you can seriously credit or believe that?!). I think they are from the Mountford RHA.....WW1

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Max and Maryse wish to distance ourselves from the previous and apparentl quite bad, image of the now defunct N Z Producers. Unlike Kaputnik N Z and co, our Roman Soldiers will not arrive coated in Grey Automobile primer.....It is true right now we focus upon producing unpainted castings, but our DISPLAY Models will be the fullMc Coy painted items.

Meet the "Ancestors". Maryse and me found several charming, if somewhat "sobreing" Medieval Tomb Monument Images. The original "Rosedale" papers listing who this Noble Knight lord and his lady were have sadly succumbed to the previous careless owners. Does anyone out tere recognize who are the Nobles please? I THINK they are English.

"Palmed Off?" Lol. Seriously, this little beauty is a Jock and Ruby Coutts "Under two Flags" original Mould Tooling for palm Trees, for their Egyptian SUDAN Infantry etc. Sadly Jock and Ruby re nw long gone from us, but we shall be re issuing the surviving U2F Items from Moulds such as these.
