    MLB 2025

Yeah, the tie-breaking changes are proof of that. First, using the ghost man for extras. Joe Torre apparently approved that one. Then for the All-Star game, the home run slug-off. What a stupid idea! But, apparently the proles like it. Baseball has been on a path for a while now, to become...

    MLB 2025

Catchers interference is apparently in the Sawx' toolbox of baseball tactics. Another one last night. If I remember the announcer's comment correctly, they have 11 already this season.

    Back to Zinnfiguren (Flatties)

I have a small stash of flats, mostly Seven Years War figures, but also some civilian sets. When I started collecting, I had it in mind to learn to paint flats, "just like the Germans do"! I bought some oils, and started, but soon moved to fully round 54mm figures. And some old Schneider...

Phillies win in extra innings with a walk-off catcher's interference! When was the last time that happened? Did it ever happen before? Prost! Brad

Airfix Old HO Scale Figure Box Sets in Original Boxes, Photos Inside

That's interesting, George, I didn't know that. I had the Romans and Britons from the HO kits. I knew how the soft plastic didn't hold paint well, and a paint job would flake off after just a little bit of handling. But the Airfix figures were so cool, to set up a nice diorama. Prost! Brad

    London Bridge figures

OK, I got a chance to get to my reference library and look for anything on Townley. For older makers like this appears to be, I go first to John Garratt's "World Encyclopedia of Model Soldiers". Garrett has this brief article on Townley: So Mike, our instincts were correct. My Prussian...

    London Bridge figures

They just might have originated with Tradition, Mike. Same goes for the "Townley" figures. I never heard of Townley, and I haven't researched the name yet. But I have 8 of the Prussian Hussars, T-520, and I have always thought they were Bussler copies of Tradition figures. They are exact...

    Ebay Seller Dobbies Hobbies

Why not reach out to him in eBay via the private message feature and as him directly? I'd ask him if he could provide a photo of the figure with a ruler to give the measurement. Prost! Brad

    Things that annoy me

High prices for convenience, be it an e-book or for a gallon of milk at the Wawa or Sheetz, don't annoy me, because I can choose not to buy them. Convenience has always had a higher price. Prost! Brad

    London Bridge figures

I don't think using the London Bridge brand violated any agreement with Britain, but rather, was an additional way to identify figures he produced-along with the fact that they are solid-cast-as distinct from original Britains toy soldiers. Because there are a lot of solid copies of Britains...
