    NFL 26-27 season

Like MLB. That's the trend-chasing overseas revenue. Though baseball and football will never be as popular as soccer, there's more money to be made than loss, so this is what we have to put up with. George, do what I did the last time there was a baseball strike-seek out Legion games...

Is this a Lost Britains Grail? Set 1613 - UNTOUCHED since 1938? Most perfect factory-ties I've ever seen! Please help!

I don't have access to my casting rig right now; everything is at my old house, 25 miles away. But this is a photo of a Schneider mold, to cast a Prussian officer and infantryman, so you can see what we're talking about: That's from a post in the Facebook group "Verkauf/Tausch Zinnfiguren"...

Sorry, but these are not Britains. They were cast from molds made by the German firm Gebrüder Schneider (Schneider Brothers), in Leipzig, from around 1890 up till the end of WWII. Some mold makers made replicas of the molds from after the end of the war up to the 2000s (notably Höhmann in...

Are you sure those are Britains? They look more like half-round toy soldiers cast from Schneider molds. WWI French infantry, looking at the headgear. Homecasters also used those molds to make US Civil War figures. Prost! Brad

    show in 2026

How do you participate in the hobby, John? That is, are you strictly a collector, buying finished figures, or do you also paint your own? I ask because I don't know of any clubs today that are just people who collect toy soldiers. As George mentioned, there is the Long Island Miniature...

    Modern Matte Figure ID

I think the leftmost figure is supposed to be Rudyard Kipling, and I think I have seen him and these others posted elsewhere in the Internet, recently. I thought it might have been in the Facebook group "mytoysoldiersandme". But I went back through the images posted there, going back to the...

Del Prado the unsung heroes of my collection

I like the Prussian SYW cuirassier figure. It's a true 54mm, and it's crisply sculpted and cast. But Del Prado mislabeled it. It's an officer, not a trooper. I wish they had produced a trooper, too. But I acquired a mold to cast some, so I can make a set. Prost! Brad
