Redcoats Displays (2 Viewers)

That's a great looking collection and very well displayed.

Nicely done Andreas!!! Always love seeing the glossies en masse like that. Very impressive.

Nice displays, Andreas! I like the 1st Foot Guard especially. I snap those up when I can, for my Seven Years War collection. The hatmen are particularly hard to find. But I'm working towards a company each of musketeers and grenadiers, and as many fifes and drums, and colors, as I can amass.

Prost!

Glossies have a charm to them that the more realistic mat figures lack. They are real eye candy when displayed in a well-lit case. Beautiful collection.

Todays "Toy Soldiers" - the matt painted - are more Model Figures; Meanwhile, I have developed an interest in glossy figures, sort of like the real toy soldiers.

I really enjoyed sculpting these and the bulk of what I have displayed at home are the Redcoats…with about 25 “Hat Men” too. I always hoped to offer more but the plug was pretty much pulled when First Gear still owned the brand, so the few new ones have only been offered as Collectors Club figures in recent times. I am building a nice display of 1790s Guards at the moment!

The Redcoats/Regiments are some of of the very best figures of W. Britain (and that means something!)
