N.F.L. 24-25 Season (2 Viewers)

Call me a cynic, but these allegations are over a decade old, no lawsuit, no charges, nothing ever and NO there were not any NDA agreements in anyway (If there were, they would have had to break them and there is zero mention of any). And second call me a cynic, were the Ravens involved in this leak? Ironic that once he went from a 88% kicker to a 79% kicker in a contract year, the Ravens make a "football" decision and the league suspends him for 10 games.

Asking for a friend, how do you get suspended 10 games for unsubstantiated allegations. IMO , this was a "hit" job and they did him dirty. He can't win or recover from this situation, basically a retirement sentence.

If this is what I suspect it is, I would like to see him stay quiet and practice all year long til week 11, sign with the Bengals and beat the Ravens. That would be poetic justice.

Tom:

Great post. You are so right, if he was still the best kicker in the league none of this would be happening.

However, the fact of the matter is in today’s NFL even if Justin Tucker admitted to all of these allegations tomorrow some team in need of a kicker would eventually sign him.

The signing would be followed by Tucker releasing a statement saying something like “the things I did are not reflective of who I am….”

And whatever team that signed him would say “we have investigated Justin throughly and even though it happened over 10 times and he is clearly a habitual offender, we are convinced he will never do it again….”

The continued Kraft v. Belichick who is more important argument all comes down to a QB

Neither one of them has accomplished anything without Brady.
The two of them continually taking shots at each other is beyond embarrassing, Kraft needs to be put out to pasture and Belichick has officially lost his marbles with all the nonsense involving him and his granddaughter.............oh sorry girlfriend. It's Jones/Johnson....on steroids.

Imagine Kraft claiming he took a huge risk hiring BB and BB saying he took a huge risk coming here, two morons.

Hey BB, thanks for the 6 Super Bowls (and sure, Brady had a lot to do with the wins vs Seattle, Carolina and Atlanta, but BB had a lot to do with the wins over the Rams (twice) and the Iggles. They stink now and will stink for a long time, so none of the arguing matters, just let it go already.

Great to see the NFL investigating players who sold their Super Bowl tickets at a huge profit against agreed upon rules.

No doubt their corrupt union will blame it on the everyday people who bought the tickets.

The NFL owners, players and most importantly, the player’s agents need to learn some math.

Agents keep rolling out stats saying this player or that player has set a franchise record thus they need more money.

It is a 17 game season now, if you are an agent and your player didn’t set a franchise record he owes the team a refund.

I got rid of cable a while ago and started using YouTube TV to watch football and some soccer. It felt a bit weird at first since I was used to flipping channels, but it’s been less stressful and cheaper than paying for a big cable package I didn’t really use. Sometimes I pay a bit extra to watch a game I really want, but it still costs less than what I used to pay for satellite.

For cricket, I’ve sometimes had to put in a bit more effort. When I was looking to buy Ashes cricket tickets, I found some good ticket marketplaces that made it easier than running around trying to find deals.

Coaches haven't adjusted to the new kickers who can drill FGs from 60+ plus yards including a kicker last night who hit one from 70. Clock management at the end of the half and game have to change when opposing teams don't even have to cross midfield to be in FG range.

Archie, man where ya been, six posts in almost ten yrs! BTW, what's cricket?

Just saw a clip of two "male" Vikings cheerleaders prancing about for the cameras. They're new additions for the coming season. Looked a Bud Light commercial.

Perfect, the Browns are still the Browns, naming Flacco and 18 year Vet their Starting QB. Good lord. They had 4 or 5 total QBS and Flacco has the job. I give them credit, they didn't fall for the Kenny Pickett show. Mike Tomlin, love him or hate him called that when he told Pick Six not to let the door hit his rear on the way out of the Burgh. Kenny the Fraud Pickett. I heard Jerry Jones is interested..............................

If Browns are smart, they keep Shedur and the other young guy. Both looked decent in preseason, room for growth. Pickett equals dud. Reminds me of that idiot the Ravens tried many years ago - Kyle Boller. Boller was his own biggest fan, much like Pickett. Talk the talk, can't walk the walk

The Jerry Jines vs. Micah Parson’s saga is nauseating.

A billionaire who does not want to give up a few dollars vs someone who does not want to play games for $21 mil per year.

How about both of you become roommates and get a mediocre apartment together?

They can both get jobs flipping burgers as they desperately try to make ends meet, month to month.

Neither one of these entitled, real world weaklings would last a day, let alone a month in the reality that their fans know.

Preseason games are brutal. Even in a sport saturated culture, I can't imagine anyone wasting five minutes on these games. The Rams basically fielded a team of guys who will never play in the NFL.

Not to mention the way the media hypes up every pre-season QB performance as an indicator that they are all first ballot hall of famers.

Offenses generally play first string players for a few series so they can establish rhythm.

Defenses on the other hand mostly play third stringers and special team hopefuls throughout pre-season games.
