I've seen the blue scarves employed by Ramcke Brigade but I'm not aware of wide spread usage
It was a divisional thing, of which that unit was from.
What the trainspotters have missed entirely, there is NO HMG MG42, critical basis each every Fallschirmjäger
I ask myself the following question : what is this blue collar with white dots at the neck of each para (a piece of german para uniform ?; never seen that).
I hope it is not just a scarf, it wouldn't be very realistic on whole group of soldiers.
Try the actual Fallschirmjäger wearing them, it was a veteran thing in luftwaffe. Of which the Fallschirmjäger were of, the 6. Regt in Normandie being transferred from original division, in 43 and composed core veterans. Who would chose to wear the polka dot & Edelweiss. The young lads never in action, wouldn’t have been seen in them and that’s 60% the unit.
What everyone is actually missing is the erroneous helmets neither painted sand, camo or netting versions. Also no StG 44’s as this unit was equipped with them, which changed utterly the dynamic of infantry CQB.
Sadly they were too dispersed to make any real difference and let down by wholly inadequate transport and armour / artillery support.
However the most critical omission from war park who simply copy from google images, with little research, is complete absence of the key component of any Fallschirmjäger infantry squad, a MG42HMG. Hopefully Xuan Hua rectifies this egregious boo boo.
I’ve ordered 7 of set, and seeking a HMG set, to complete.
