A German Jagdpanther Ausf. G2 from the 2nd SS Panzer Division, 6th Panzer Army, on the move through the mud and thawing snow somewhere in the vicinity of Lake Balaton, Hungary, circa early March 1945…

John’s winter Jagdpanther Ausf G2 model (GA-02) is an excellent model and has some of the best winter whitewash paint/weathering effect on a 1/30 scale AFV, in my opinion. The Late War Germans from First Legion are a great complement to it. While I’ve done similar displays with this Jagdpanther model over the years, this was the first where I used snow powder and soil/dirt for a more realistic effect…

Hope you all enjoy 😃

Another winning entry Tristan. Your display really shows off this tank hunter. Of all the German armor I have, John's winter Jagdpanther is one of my favorites.

A very beautiful diorama enhanced by the nice JJD Jagdpanther and First Legion figurines.
Indeed, the 2nd SS Pz Division received 10 Jagdpanthers in February 1945 (as did the 9th and 10th SS Pz Div).
None were lost during this offensive, as all 10 were listed as operational on March 15, 1945.
