Certainly not going to win any new friends. Sometimes better to say nothing. Reiner was IMO just as out there politically, however, he didn't deserve to be brutally murdered by his son. That is just tragic in of itself. I have said this many times, there are a lot of fruit loops out there. It is hard to understand it at times, too many times it seems.

And as to my personal opinion, I like the guys professional work both as an actor and director. He had a lot of talent, I just try to ignore all of their activism and this is a senseless tragedy at the end of the day

To clarify i dont like any activism in entertainment, sports or music. It doesn't matter what side, when I support ie purchase in this area, I expect to be entertained.

I can remember several years ago being in the emergency room with a mom who had a teenage kid with a drug addiction. There is no great solution. No matter how rich or well intentioned. Sometimes it progresses to the point of no return. A sad situation.

I've had neighbors and co-workers tell me they had to change the locks on their homes to stop their drug addicted children from stealing.

if I didn’t watch movies or TV shows based on the political view of those affiliated with them there would be nothing for me to watch.

The same thing goes for sports.

I've had neighbors and co-workers tell me they had to change the locks on their homes to stop their drug addicted children from stealing.

Friend had the same, when the child, aged 20, was at home they used to before going to work, make him get up, get dressed and take him to the local park or where ever, after locking the house up, as he could not be trusted in the house not to steal stuff to sell for gambling. In the end they had to put a lock on his room and he was locked in at night, as he used to sneak out, steal stuff and go out and sell it. Reached a head when he got violent and tried to stab his 10 year old brother after he caught him stealing his toys. He eventually got prison time, 3 years, for breaking into shops and houses, my friend had to write to him and tell him he did not want him home after release, broke his heart, but needed to protect his other 2 children. Was the best outcome and avoided a truely awful tradegy.
