Falklands revisited (2 Viewers)

Any port will do in a storm . . . Especially if you can drink it. Your Falkland photos are always a pleasure to view Robin.

The loss of the Atlantic Conveyor carrying vital supplies, especially Boeing Chinook helicopters, essential for heavy lifting, almost ended the land battles before they began. One just happened to be airborne at the time training, ‘Bravo November’ and was the sole survivor. Robin.

Mount Longdon, a prominent key position for the defence of Stanley by the Argentines, infamous as the site of a brutal 12 hour battle during June 11-12 by the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment, which they prevailed. One step closer to overall victory. Robin.

A Scimitar returning to the beach head at San Carlos bay, delivering Argentina prisoners, is then required to perform a ‘push back’ for a grounded landing craft. Robin.

Moody Brook barracks not far North of the capital Stanley, are retaken by the British after a fire fight on the 14th June 1982. These barracks housed a small force of Royal Marines prior to the invasion, but at that time the Argentines found them unoccupied as the Marines were positioned at nearby Government House. Robin.

As ever Robin your work and creativity is bloody great mate!
I thankyou for your continued support and enthusiasm for all toy soldiers in general and K&C in particular is always appreciated and inspiring.
All the very best to you and all our K&C pals in Oz,
Andy

P.S. I’m also hoping we get to meet up in person somewhere in Australia later in 2026.
A.

Thanks everyone for your supportive responses, so appreciated. A highlight this year would be if I could catch up with Andy and a ACOTS show in April here in Adelaide, where I intend to display Falklands. The table will almost be the size of a table tennis one and would allow me to do San Carlos Bay, Darwin, Goose Green, Moody Brook Barracks, Port Stanley and Stanley. Currently this is my favourite series as guessed by Rob. There have been 19 figures released and I currently have 50, so obviously duplicates. Hoping there is something Andy can come up with before ending the series. I have few more setups to do before I am done. Robin.
