Isandlwana... (2 Viewers)

We are very lucky to have a number of manufacturers that we can draw the same theme from. Robin.

In 1979 I made something similar with Sanderson figures! Your beautiful set up brought back a lot of memories!

Love it - great to see Zulu's close together attacking the doomed British defenders.

Interesting, there are nine aside here, almost a fair fight, but I guess the carbine wins out.😀. Robin.

Now that's a great set up.

I have my own W-Britains Zulu wars dio set up on a similar round base and highly recommend using one, as they are so versatile.

My base is an old wooden Chinese checkers board, which I turned over and covered in static grass from Woodland scenics.

I believe most craft and hardware stores now stock round craft bases of various sizes which makes it a lot easier to get hold of.

They do take up a bit extra room in a display cabinet, however I enjoy rotating mine at regular intervals.

If I was starting this series right now it would be pretty well all be JJD as the sculpts are my preference, however I started in 2009 and have a ton of other manufacturers, so too late to jump ship now and collect every JJD. Mind you I really like the Rorke’s Drift aspect, so I still need the original collection anyway. They all blend fortunately. Robin.
