    Things that annoy me

Yeah George, it is sad to move on, but you obviously have some great memories of your childhood home. Your father's passion for westerns reminds me of my father, he loved westerns from more famous authors such as Louis L'Amour to Australian pulp westerns by Marshal Grover etc, I read a few back...

That is cheap Gas George, Petrol here is about AUD $1.75 per liter ATM which is cheaper than it has been, that converts to about USD $4.32 per gallon, I would guess it would be even more expensive in the UK.

    TROPHY.

Buyer Beware guys, Recasts and Remakes of Traditional Toy Soldiers remains an 'issue' in what is still basically a 'Cottage Industry', even the boxes can be easily reproduced these days. It's a bit like military uniforms and equipment, if it looks to good to be true, it probably isn't.

I remember when Maxime Chevallier started posting on Planet Figure, mostly photos of old glossy Toy Soldier sets that he said he had the legal rights to and intended to bring back into production. Despite the Free Advertising etc, the PF members were mostly supportive until Max went on a rant...

    Vietnam inspirations

Dan, I'm looking forward to seeing your dio, personally I think some modellers put to many soldiers on tanks including on the engine intakes etc. IMO the most interesting Vietnam dioramas are those that include Vietcong tunnels or even just a tunnel entrance, adds some drama to the scene.

Fleubaix was never a serious competitor IMO, it had a slow start, inadequate promotion and soon got a poor reputation for amatuer painting and slow or non delivery of orders. Several collectors in Australia and overseas were ripped off but may not wish to make that public.

    TROPHY.

His new forum name on Planet Figure is 'Mnr Maxime Chevallier Esq', sounds very special. Let's see how long he lasts there this time, he has been banned there before. From what I've seen he mostly just promotes himself, he says he's about to release this, that, or whatever. However when it's...

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

Kevin, I agree with Louis, the Sherman Flail tank is an iconic machine, well represented by Figarti and looks great at the head of your impressive column of advancing Brits.

A good idea hypothetically Tom, however I suspect any business dealings with Mad Max would be 'problematic'.
