The melting point of lead solder, typically a tin-lead alloy with a 63/37 ratio, is 183°C (361°F). But the paint on the soldiers will have gone for good way before that....

Hi Oz,
Like you I also try to have my sets in cabinets, but to try and stop dust from covering the sets, I use sliding glass doors ( they keep some dust, but as you can see by the pics...dust does creep in...And I am the only authorized crazy one to touch the sets and try to get some of the dust...
Hi Oz,
Great collection and display set up...how do you manage to keep the dust away? How cleans the sets so as to have them so nicely set as in these great pics?
Cheers

Hi Andy,
Thanks a lot for your note and sorry it took me this long to answer...
Yes, I really enjoy the Legion and all related to it. And your Desert Village series are a blessing so as to provide adequate background for the soldiers...The fact that the buildings are full structures and not just...
Hi, Sorry I did not answer you before. The Soldiers are mostly Scalelink sets assembled as FFL. There are a few idividual sets from other manufacturers such as Tradition from London but these are few ans specific, such as trumpeteer and flag standard.....

a few more pictures of the FFL ...they were posted previously but due to the forum new layout, I have to be fair to say I do not know how to find them again.....Also although now in the new format it is soooo much easy to attach picutres, I no longer know how to attach ones that are in my albums...
If we could have either K&C coming up with more Middle East Village buildings so we can add them to a FFL fort, or another manufacturer present us with alternative options there are many opportunities to set up a diorama....some examples..attached
