Excellent display Robin, although very tempting I haven't ventured into that era yet. If there were more conflict based sets such as depicted in your photos I would be more inclined to buy as I tend to prefer battle action displays.
I would ask the Toy Soldier manufactures 'What about more...
Sarah is quality viewing, your video is unavailable to me, so not sure which track but I also like Judas Priest, here's my fav track;
Judas Priest...Painkiller
We are both Bee Gee free 😂
As for Mac Ayres, he does sing some high notes, but not as high as this dude 😟
Sarah Brightman & Fernando Lima...Pasion
And now for something completely different;
Slash & Chris Stapleton...Oh Well (cover)
I'm not a fan of falsetto either, there's no Bee Gee songs on my play list, he sounds more like a tenor with echo effects to me. I have several Five Finger Death Punch songs on my rock play list, great band.
I'm interested in most eras Greg, but these days I 'try' to just collect Aussie based sets, I'm still selling off all the other stuff on ebay etc, it's a slow process.
My forum name honours my Grandfather who was in the Australian Light Horse during WWI, my Dad was in Lancasters etc in the RAAF...
Yeah, that would be the go back then.
I used to like the old VB (Victorian Bitter) ads, but it's ironic that John Meillon who did the voice over for most of those ads died from cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 55 in 1989, a direct consequence of his alcohol consumption, it's like the...
Miles Davis is certainly one of the best Kev, I have 'Blue in Green' on my playlist as I'm not a fan when Trumpets are too loud, which I agree is 'unusual' as I like loud Heavy Rock and even some Metal tracks, there's just something about LOUD BRASS that doesn't agree with my hearing :eek: :D...
Greg, that is one of my fav dioramas from the K & C Diner comps, I hope they reintroduce that comp or something similar, always added some interest to the annual diners imo. Personally I prefer a simple display with a bare shelf plus some trees etc as I tend to rearrange my displays almost...
I'm not surprised you haven't played any Halo games Kev, they are First Person Shooter games, mainly developed for Preteen and Teenagers plus the occassional Nerdy Sci Fi guys like me, I absolutely loved the games, some more than others. Marty O'Donnell composed most of the Soundtracks for the...
On another note, John Coltrane's 'After the Rain' reminded me of 'Rain' from the Xbox Halo 3 ODST game. I may have mentioned I spent many hours playing the various Halo games, some great memories playing against my sons as well some very immersive solo games. Halo 3 ODST was perhaps the most...
The Angels are still touring Kev, albeit with a few member changes, so many great musicians seem to pass early in their life, sometimes due to their addictive lifestyle sadly.
Yes, liking Jazz was a surprise to me as well, something to do with getting older I guess, I'll be buying antique...
Whoops, I accidently quoted myself there by using the 'Reply' function instead of 'Edit', but a good excuse to add another film clip more appropriate for a lazy Sunday morning downunder, considering my neighbours are prob upset about my loud rock songs this morning :D
I liked the 'Bosch' TV...
