SCRATCH BUILDING THE AUTOCAR U8144T SEMI TRACTOR (2 Viewers)

Follow this thread for a step-by-step guide to scratch-building the Autocar 8144T Semi Tractor. Using 1/35 scale models as templates, I worked with balsa wood, discarded plastic model parts, and leftover pieces from a diecast 1/24 scale Mack truck previously used to create the scratch-built Ward Le France Wrecker. Photos are some reference photos I am using. The final cut will be a soft top rather than a hard top. Model is about 50 % complete

90% complete. Applying decals and weathering. Cab windshield can fold up or down with removable tarp

Yellow Bridge Classification Plate 22 is temporary. It should be te 22/W to reflect war time condition (maximum load withntrailer
 
95% complete. Waiting for decals from Archer Transfers. Need to seal decals, weather, and add the side mirrors. Last step is a clear dullcote for the entire vehicle.
