It's more than likely to happen again unless the vaccination rate increases.

    Military Minitures 1966

There is quite a bit of background info about Marcus Hinton and his 54mm figures here- http://www.vintagewargamingfigures.info/rblack/index.html Quite an eccentric character. The wargames figures have quite a collectors following, which the 54mm figures do not seem to have acquired. Scott

Siege of Badajoz Richard Caton Woodville Jr

Hi Victor, The original seems to be the property of the National Army Museum in England with the description that it was painted as 'watercolour en grisaille'. I understand that means painted in monotones. Here is the catalogue reference-...

    Battle of Waterloo books.

For a younger reader David Howarth’s ‘A Near Run Thing’ is an older book but a great introductory read. The Waterloo Uncovered group who are excavating around the battlefield have some excellent stories and lectures on YouTube that are well worth a look. Scott

RIP Tony Rice- Bluegrass guitar player.

Just heard the news down here that Tony Rice had passed away on Christmas Day. Mainly known for his Bluegrass flatpicking I really enjoyed the music he produced in the 1980's with the Tony Rice Unit where he combined Bluegrass with Jazz and Folk. Another great talent who collaborated with many...

    Repainting pre-war vintage Britains

Welcome Clive, I think Mike's advice about using Humbrol gloss colours is a good place to start and don't be afraid to experiment mixing colours if you can't find a match to your liking. We used to have a member here JohnnyBach who did some excellent restorations of old Britains and their...

    COVID the 3rd

Tom, This is probably venturing into politics but you seem to be contradicting yourself here. It's hard to see how the Second lockdown in Victoria didn't work. They went from 725 new cases on 6th August to zero cases and zero deaths for the last sixteen days yesterday. Yes it has been tough...

Assistance please _ Tips on painting horsemen/cavalry

I also drill a hole in the under regions of the figure and screw in a self tapping screw. The screw can be held in my painting vice and you can hold the figure easily. Occasionally I drill another hole in the top of the saddle area and insert a pin when gluing the figure to the saddle. Most...

I recall reading that General Horii was known to ride his horse during the Kokoda Campaign in New Guinea in 1942 shortly before his death, albeit a white horse. Scott

WIP 18th Line Infantry 54mm Napoleonic

They do look nicely painted. However, I am not sure what they are doing in that pose. I wonder if they are from a small diorama set. Scott

What should I do? Anyone had this before?

I've never had that happen, but I have kept all the figures I have painted or given them to friends and relatives. However, that is pretty poor form if they are your work. Probably best to send him a private message first, let him know your thoughts and give him the chance to make things right...
