Pity that Italeri stopped producing the 1st set of Austrians as they had real character I painted some recently for a fellow collector as the 41st Regt with yellow facings - his ancestor was an Officer in this Regiment during the Napoleonic Wars - see photo below...

Great set up - like the use of the Timpo cavalry painted up as Austrians

will still try a box and see how they turn out

Hi John I made the Pontooneers for a friend and he supplied several pictures of the French Pontooneers in this style of uniform with Corsehut head-dress, so it must have pre-dated the uniform with the shako in the earlier Napoleonic era. I painted them as the elite company with red epaulettes...

Hi I am making a few conversions into French Pontooneers (Built bridges etc...) Napoleonic era. They had the pre 1812 cut of Light Infantry uniform with Corsehut hats. Anyone have any further extra info about their uniform(s)? Regards 9thHussar

Hi - just seen that Revell also list the 1/32nd US INF WW2 for release in 07/2014 - July I presume. Maybe they will release the 8th Army and DAK in 1/32nd? - they are currently listed for release in 1/76th scale.

Hi - I have always liked the Britains Deetail range and often find broken figures at Toy fairs etc... often priced very cheaply - this one cost GBP 0.25. (like a Quarter Dollar) This cowboy was found with a pistol missing so I decided to convert him into a dismounted Confederate cavalry officer...
