Would you be interested if King & Country released movie Tie-in figures?

In the past, Conte has released several sets of figures related to movies such as Beau Geste, Zulu, the Patriot, and several others. Would you be interested if King & Country did the same, putting out supplemental sets of characters from Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, etc to go along...

    How about some movie items?

I would really like to see K&C release a few special sets of characters from films and shows such as Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Patriot, etc. These would tie in very nicely to current releases and could attract more customers who would be interested in buying high-end movie tie...

    Figure ID

Just picked this bloke off of ebay for a steal; he was badly damaged and came with a number of other items. Any idea on what set he comes from? Best Regards, Mike

    Custer

I personally believe this is the most accurate sculpture of Custer out there, entitled "The Passing of Yellow Hair" by Dwight Franklin. I'd love to see a toy soldier version of this. http://www.artnet.com/artists/lotdetailpage.aspx?lot_id=F92D22B1ABC335811E6EFD5A1E65F07F Best Regards, Mike

    Custer

While the pistols appear to be accurate, I have to question Custer's uniform. According to most historians, he was wearing buckskin trousers and a blue cavalry officer's shirt on June 25th. It was a hot day, over 100 degrees, so he had stripped off his jacket during the advance. Regards, Mike

    Forthcoming April Dispatches

I might have a go at it, some of those plastic sets could easily be modified into wounded/noncombatants. In any case, I bet I could get a decent result with enough patience. I've also found that Conte figures work well as background pieces; they're about the same scale as the older K&C pieces...

    Forthcoming April Dispatches

I wouldn't be surprised if we see another colonial release, after all the Rhode Island regiment was discontinued shortly before K&C released their new Fusiliers. As a sidenote, have you considered painting plastic figures to match the K&C style? I've seen some very nice camp life plastics done...

    Any reenactors here?

Doubt I'll be making any real airborne jumps {sm4} although there is a jump school a few of our members attend annually. I've heard a few different stories about how farb originated, my personal favorite being a letter from a Civil War veteran of the 76th Illinois. "Six children from the local...

    Toy soldier talk.

A close family friend owns the Old Toy Soldier Home in San Diego, CA. One day I stopped by just to look around, and ended up walking away $20 poorer but with the first AWI piece in my collection. Best Regards, Mike

    Any reenactors here?

Just joined the 101st Airborne, 506th PIR, Second Btn, Fox Co. from the California History group. Just wondering if anybody's had some good reenacting experiences they'd like to share with a newbie {sm4} Also, what is considered "farb" as far as Airborne impressions are concerned? Best...

    AWI question - BR38 vs BR83/84

As Phantom Warrior stated, I believe the norm would be to have separate drummers/fifers, especially in well organized British regiments. Best Regards, Mike

    Help with identifying AWI Regiment

Hi Terry, King & Country did a very nice release of 10th Lincolnshire a few years back. Perhaps Andy was referencing them. Regards, Mike
