These might be the best John Jenkins sculpts yet. I am curious about the material being used for the casting. If they are all metal or mixed media? Also price and date of release? Anybody have any details because I am very interested in these figures?

Hello Julie,
Any update on the Carthaginian army. I am very interested in this range specially the elephants. I know John likes to wet our appetite with the original sculpts but then sometimes they get shelved for a long period of time prior to release.
Thanks

Hello Carlos,
it was good to see you again at the show and thanks for posting all those photos. I can look back and see all the stuff I would have liked to buy but l just have to restrain myself because I can’t collect everything I would like to. Also It was good to meet “John from Texas” as he...
Hello Amber,
Thank you for your gracious reply. I was thinking that even if you had a small presence there where you could promote your new location and pass out your current brochures it would help the show. We all know that you are one of the heavy hitters in the hobby and it could bring more...
Hello Amber,
I was just wondering why you don’t buy a table at the Texas Toy Soldier Show and everyone can see your beautiful displays there among like minded customers. It seems like a small expense for a show in your own backyard. There must still be some bad blood between K&C and the Menger...
Wow, what a collection. I know it’s a problem to save the original boxes because they take up so much room but without them it makes it very hard to ship without damage. Good luck with your sale and I enjoyed your pics.

They make very realistic silhouettes, very interesting. But I would not let them catch too many rays for fear of fading. The slightest amount of fading could be noticeable.:cool:

Great review, wish I could have been there. Maybe some of the vendors will make it to the Texas Toy Soldier Show so they can take home some of my money. I am jealous of all the toy soldier shows they have in the northeast. If we had that many I would have to get a bigger house.
Thanks again...
That is a great idea but what would you use for a base material? It would have to be flexible enough to roll up but durable enough not to crack or delaminate. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know for sure if the Carthaginian elephants had howdahs, fight riding bareback or both? I have seen sculpted both ways but wonder which is correct. Some have said that the North African Elephant was too small to carry a howdah. Does anyone care to discuss this issue.

Beautiful diorama but you might consider adding a few casualty figures. Britains makes a great casualty set for the 44th. Thanks for the posting and pictures.

I called the hotel and they have special room rates of $139 per night which is a great price for downtown San Antonio. But could not verify if they had special valet parking rates like last year. Mike Miller I hope you can make it and are feeling better. I made my reservations and hope to see...
Of course I renewed my membership. You get a $45 figure and a $15 voucher plus the Standard all for only $75. Plus the have special members sales throughout the year. What’s not to love. DO YOU HEAR ME:salute::
