New Poll 2012 - First Legion Ranges

I think that is a good possibility. What is really interesting is how close the numbers are among the top four ranges. The Naps and WWII ranges should be on top, since they have many more releases to choose from. Yet, neither of these hold a huge lead over the third and fourth place lines...

On the road to Charleston - March 1780

Love your work Xavier. The 5th Regiment of Foot is going to need a new commander in a couple more seconds!^&grin Like everyone else, I am awaiting the upcoming 22nd Foot. The AWI range needs a new release, as it has been a while since the last one. Hopefully they will be in the next...

    The Glory of Rome

Sorry Joe, I'm the one that can't count! I should have said three, not four. That's alright though, as it sounds like Matt is already addressing the issue. Since FL usually doesn't do restocks, it really indicates to me just how strong the support is for this range. Noah

    The Glory of Rome

Joe, I noticed the same thing last night. I counted four of the original Romans that are already sold out, which must mean FL is doing something right with this line. If I had the extra cash, this would be a good range to start. Noah

    The Battle of Normandy

Thanks for the pics. I am liking this subrange more and more. Noah

So far there is just one little teaser pic on the top of the FL home page. Noah

    Trouble along the Schoharie

This is a great thread! Your story is great and the scenes you have set-up really bring it to life. I also like how you have integrated so many different companies into your dio. Excellent stuff. Noah

New Poll 2012 - First Legion Ranges

I think the low numbers for the SYW and the Renaissance is that fact that both ranges are just getting started. I really feel that once these two ranges have an 'opponent' release, sales will increase dramatically. The same situation most likely applies (or applied) to the Samurai range...

    New project in the works.

Even if it is a little darker than you originally wanted, it is certainly worth the effort in my opinion. I think once you have it finished off and integrated into a diorama it will look just perfect. Noah

Check the banner Fellas looks like "Vietnam" is coming our way!!!!

Sure looks like a Vietnam grunt. That is really one that I didn't see coming. Like Sammy said, not many people would have picked Vietnam if asked what FL was going to do next. However, I guess we shouldn't be too suprised, as Matt has a tendency to take the unexpected route at times! Noah

    Battle of Agincourt

A very nice suprise for those medieval fans. As expected, the first figure previews are stunning! The heraldry on the English knights is superb. Noah

What are the Forum members reading

Brad, that is a really good one. Also, if you haven't already read it, you might check out his "Almost a Miracle", which is an excellent history of the AWI. Noah

New Poll 2012 - First Legion Ranges

I submitted by vote for the AWI, which is holding its own as well. That is great to see. You're right, FL can go a lot of ways with the Rome series. For what it is worth, I think they should stick to the same general time period they already have and just keep alternating between releases...

    New project in the works.

The watchtower is looking very nice. Your method of distressing the wood creates an excellent weather-beaten look. The scale looks right too when compared to the two figures in the background. Noah

    Niena Studio

The last couple of knights posted in this thread are simply amazing! I would have to say they are likely the best paintwork I have ever seen, as they are that good. The detail on the Teutonic knight's flag is especially impressive. Noah

    Napoleon retreats from Smolensk - 1812 - November 14th

Xavier, that is a really great scene you have made. The trees, the small building, and the background all give it a good sense of depth. Also, your combination of the Chasseurs and the Cuirassier makes for a really dynamic diorama. Between you and Guy, First Legion has an excellent pair of...

    The Battle of Agincourt

Guy, I would have to agree with you, as this knight is rather reminiscent of the Hundred Years War. Of course, there is a lot of crossover potential with the Crusades and the Hundred Years War as it is. I mean, those English archers that First Legion has already produced would fit well with a...

    BATTLE: Hagelberg - August 27, 1813

Guy, once again, you have impressed us with your diorama skills! This is a great display of your talents and of First Legion's amazing Nap range. That French standard-bearer better be ready, because he is about to be overrun by Prussians!^&grin Again, great work all around. Noah
