Great great show guys......you all should have been there! I could quite easily have spent my budget three or four times over as the tables were awash with "must haves" making it most difficult to keep repeating to yourself I really musn't.

And as for the Brit Brigade and our illustrious guests Steve from Holland and Duke from the good old US of A..........Gentlemen, it was an absolute pleasure.

North to Islington-for St George and General Rob

Looks like Rob was feeling no pain! {eek3}

Gentlemen, I just want to thank all who posted their pictures of the show. The show has been very well covered/presented and I appreciate it. Quite fun to see all the excellent product and our forum brothers.{bravo}} -- Al

Really good coverage, almost as good as being there, thank you guys for taking the time to share your exciting day across the world. Cheers, Robin.

Is that Bob demonstrating he has not yet got the DT's??

Rob

What do you mean "demonstrating" After every show with the Brit Brigade I undergo two weeks of detoxification.

Bob

Hey, hang on a minute ..... is that a wooly caterpillar on Bob's upper lip ..... and why is Rob doing his famous Onslow from Keeping up Appearances impersonation? ^&grin

B.

Buster the "tash" came free with a box of figures I bought at the show-wore it in the bar in a vain attempt to look rather dashing. Rob pestered me for it to cover his bald patch but it simply wasn't big enough

Bob, is that a treatment or some sort of erotic pastime?

^&grin^&grin

Its not a bald patch, ok I wasn't going to tell you this as the pain runs deep, but in the early seventies I was abducted by the US authorities who carried out experiments on me for warfare purposes, you are in fact looking at the worlds first defoliated zone!

Rob

Sorry Rob, my mistake :redface2: ..... now I see where I went wrong ..... you're pretending you're that Bucket women answering the phone and saying " No, this is not the Chinese take-away!" :)

B.

Mate, you should see my Fanny Cradock!

It's a good un, isn't it? I'll be getting a '111' to join the winter version in a few weeks.
Good catching up Steve. Nice meeting your daughter at the show, a credit to you.

Take care

Hi Guys

Just like to thank all the Treefroggers Bar Brigade for the warm welcome..the cold Beers and the stimulating conversation over all things Military..Your passion and knowledge for military history never ceases to amaze me and every time i walk/stagger away from our liquid
lunches i have again learned a whole bunch of stuff over Toy Soldiers_Military tactics_and not to forget Barmaids!!!. Shame that this will be our last get-together in Russel Square, but they did make it a little easyer for us by putting a Guy behind the Bar...Anyhow upwards and onwards to December and i will do my best to persuade my lovely Daughter..(for those of you who met her after the show)..(My God it was 4.30 and the table was still brimming over with GT"S and pints of Lager) to attend the show as our own private Barmaid...And no worries here guys as a child she used to pull the heads of all her Barbie Dolls!!!!!!........Take care all.

Bob, it's a pity that box of figures didn't come with a ZZ Top beard, with a little creative trimming you could provided Rob with "hair like Stalin". ^&grin

Mate, you should see my Fanny Cradock!

Rob

Rob pal, I think you would have a very difficult time finding anyone who would want to see your "Fanny". ^&grin Unless of course you had "hair like Stalin".

Steve

Was great to see you mate and a hugely enjoyable get together. Everyone says the same thing these days, the show is now more about the social get together than purchasing. Of course we all love buying TS's but we can do that online if need be, its the laughs and the historical discussions and general piss taking out of ourselves that makes it such a good day. I do agree re the glasses Steve, looked bad didn't it!^&grin

As for your lovely daughter, was a pleasure to meet her and whilst she will always be welcome to join you and us in the bar she is far too nice to work in that place, and you've seen what a bunch of low down, sheep bothering, footpads and yobbos they are! Between you and me I think they were all drunk:wink2:

See you in Islington Steve!

Best

Rob
