Before you make a final decision, I don't feel comfortable with 3 tanks in a platoon. Israel has recently discussed (debated) going with a 3 tank platoon. In the early days there were 3 tanks in a platoon but that was before Centurions. You may need 4 tanks. I'll see what I can dig up. Terry

The barrel part tends to wear the most so it may not require the replacement of the entire gun assembly. The barrel can be replaced in the field and would come from the factory without camo. It was not unusual to see camouflaged Panthers with grey gun barrels. Terry
