Perhaps the first and easiest approach is to look through and detail the manufacturers and whether the figures themselves are glossy or matt. This will give collectors on here something to go on when proffering advice (and they are very generous with it); different brands and figure types...

You certainly do - while I order direct from K&C, TG and JG miniatures, for certain other manufacturers, it largely works out cheaper to buy from US Dealers than locally or from Europe and China they are always efficient despite customs hassles at the U.K. end.
