    September Releases - The Figures!

Those are big words: insane and ludicrous..... The only point I was making is that I love variety and creativity in miniatures. Spartan71 says “Everything worthwhile gets imitated in one shape or form, it's a fact of true life.....” For me that is simply not enough to keep me going on in this...

    September Releases - The Figures!

As a relatively newcomer on this forum, I am a little bit surprised about the discussion on this thread. In my opinion the point that Joe is making has nothing to do with the quality and price of the figures. It has to do with creativity. For me it's somewhat disappointing to see that TG had...

    Marius Mule

This lonely soldier is from the same manufacturer that painted the Marius Mule sculpture (Spbsouvenir / Silver Dream Studio). It's a Roman legionary in campaign clothing (1st to 2nd Century A.D). It's a somewhat peculiar figure but I love this one, especially the painting of the cloak.

    Romans

I did some homework..... The soldiers are wearing a balteus (shoulder belt) for their gladius. The balteus apperared in the middle of the first century AD. Before that time they used two belts (cingulum), one for the gladius and one for the dagger. The helmet looks like the Gallic type (with the...

    Romans

I bought a few soldiers from the Lost Legion. They look great with those black shields, especially the ones marching with the pilum straight forward (ROM001). I'm thinking about building a new diorama with these soldiers but I'm not sure where to situate them. Maybe Africa or Britannia. Enemies...
