December, 1942.

The beleaguered Soldaten of the 336th Infanterie Division receive a welcome Christmas present as Panzers of the 15th Panzer-regiment of the 11th Panzer Division roll into their sector and begin annihilating Soviet tank columns. Led by General-Major Hermann Balck. The Landsers will witness some of the most spectacular Divisional operations in modern history... which were desperately needed hundreds of miles south at Stalingrad.

While I have made progress on the bases, they still have lots of work left. So, I received a few modified vehicles from Mitch so I did some quick setups.

Really like the Winter 250 halftrack, great little vehicle. Robin.

It does have a limitation. The casing for the hidden wheels means it can’t go on the roads with the strip I have in the middle.

But yes, I like them.

I have been working on this diorama and adding effects to it:

Creating muddy roads with Modge Podge, backyard dirt and then some Realistic Water:

The first two pieces are ready.

The 336th Infantry Division desperately hangs on the face of heavy pressure from the 5th Tank Guards assaults. The Division's anti-tank weapons are fighting fanatically to hold back the onslaught, but it is futile. Eventually, they hear the sounds of tanks behind them. They have heard rumors that help is on the way, but the trains had not arrived yet. Does that mean Ivan is already behind them... or has the Gespenster once again proven that "night marches save blood."

Just in the nick of time, Colonel Theodor Graf von Schimmelmann's 15th Panzer-Regiment shows up to counter a company of T-34s heavily reinforced by armored cars from a Reconnaissance element.

Lead elements of the 61st Panzer Aufklarungs battalion herald desperately needed reinforcements from Panzergrenadier Regiments 110 and 110 have finally disembarked from the trains and are arriving on the scene.

Wow ! You've done an excellent job on your diorama and the story of what's going on at the front.

Well done ! :salute:: {bravo}}
