Hi Guys,

In answer to what’s next on the aircraft front…no firm decisions at this time on the mixed media poly ones. I’m going to be speaking to both dealers and collectors in the U.S. to gather their thoughts and ideas. As for the wooden, hand-carved ones…quite a few in the pipline including a great looking Desert JU52 as well as our first crack at the Short Stirling…the only British “Heavy” K&C has not produced yet. On a smaller level…we’re also producing the AVRO ANSON one of my own fave raves!

Re Winter Jagdpanther…already in the works I expect factory samples in October when I get back from the U.S. I saw the “Wishing for the old way” thread…Seems whatever we do someone somewhere won’t like it! Over the years we had quite a few requests to leave the extra stowage off in order for collectors to add tank riders etc. on the back…or just leave it “empty”.

As UK Subs says extra stowage does come at an extra price and we are trying to keep prices down or at least stable during this time. As far as the track issue goes…Obviously it’s not to all tastes but at K&C we believe it provides extra strength in a potentially delicate area and from my own military experience I remember that tracked vehicle’s tracks attract mud the way honey attracts flies!

In this hobby like much else in life it’s impossible to be all things to all people. Finally, Gordon and yours truly fly out of HK on Friday afternoon to California and Los Gatos, the home base of “Sierra Toy Soldiers”. We’re looking forward to meeting up with Mike, Myszka and the Sierra Gang and meeting lots of old friends (and some new ones) at the “Meet ‘n’ Greet” over the weekend.

After that it’s onto Chicago and the “BIGGIE”…I cannot say too many great things about this show. If you love toy soldiers as we all do Chicago is Lourdes and Mecca all rolled into one! There is just so much to see and do. You owe it to yourself to visit at least once in your life…This will be my 26th.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

Really? You don't look a day over 25! :wink2:

There are a few, pictures of whitewashed JP's are you doing one of the imaged WWII versions or are you doing your own version in whitewash? If based on a real unit which one?

Figures et al are going up almost monthly we hear of the increase in wages, metal, etc etc are these rising monthly also? From the trenches I am not sure we collectors are seeing a stabilising in prices. How or what are you actually doing to stabilise prices? Are the things you are doing stabilising the costs for your company in terms of manufacturing processes and when will we see a price cap on these rises? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Looking forward to seeing the dio's at Chicago
Mitch

Safe travels to you and the King and Country team!See you in Schaumburg!!!

Thanks for the update. As I stated on another thread I thought K&C's Cromwell Tank release was great because it gave the collector a choice whether to put stowage or not on a tank........as a collector I like having those options. As far as planes go the two areas I think have a lot of single seater warbird potential are WWI (Biplanes, triplanes etc) and WWII Far East ( Zeroes, Corsaires, Hellcats etc). Whether they are a commercial enough venture for K&C to venture down I don't know. As far as tank tracks go the "muddy" look seems realistic to me, certainly doesn't detract me enough to not buy AFV's. I certainly wouldn't want to compromise the strength of the piece by putting brittle but greater detailed tracks on AFV's.
