Hi Guys,

Far be it from me to ever disagree with the opinions and comments of either “Mitch” or his friend “UK subs.”

However, as to those wheels…it’s distinctly possible that not every tank or armored vehicle will necessarily have camouflaged wheels to colour coordinate with the upper hull?

One of the great joys of portraying German armour/fighting vehicles in particular is the amazing variety of paint schemes and styles adopted –even within the same unit!

So, “Mitch” and “UK subs” you are perfectly free to say what you like and what you don’t like. And I’m just as free to reply. I don’t pretend to be the all-consuming expert on everything but I have a great collection of collectors and specialists who often provide valuable and additional info on all manner of details concerning K&C’s figures and fighting vehicles.

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Fair comment Andy but to me it look like the tracks are painted a different colour to rest of the tank which to me is very odd and you don't need a great collection of books to see that , just my opinion

I feel you have overlooked some very important issues; Germans did not use sandbags due to an American patent issue (Hitler did not want to enter into a protracted legal battle, he was worried about costs) and most certainly German Tank Commanders did not fire their pistols in the air, with the exception of the two recorded occasions where someone was trying to shoot a pigeon for dinner.

I think you need to go back to the drawing board.

Cheers

Scott

Those are not sandbags. :rolleyes2: They are sacks of barley for making beer.

Further research has revealed the German aristocrats liked to eat their pigeons 'al dente'.

Apparently the Italians then ran with the idea!

wow! Neil and slagging his sofa the other day, Frank and his bayonets yesterday and now both Neil and I. Does this count as a symphony of bad taste?

razor wit indeed. I think its time you realise that highlighting individuals like you do does not have the same effect as it may once have done on here. Speak to people like you do and you will get it back in spades.

Perhaps if you spent more time getting the errors right then when they are highlighted on a forum where people know what is what you would not have the need to respond in this manner as you have for many, many, many years. I don't mind a mature discussion on detail and accuracy with anyone its just not the case with you.

Funny how you highlight just two when several agreed about the JP. Not what is said but by who and what you think you can get away with depending on who is saying it.

Slanging matches back and forth are not permitted either.

I suggest we wind it in a little chaps otherwise this thread will end up down the pan as well.

People will always disagree but there is no need to be rude about it.

I think it only fair that me and Mitch reply to Andy post as we're the ones being talked about , but maybe you need to look at who started the thread

Well said indeed. If I read it right Andy mentioned the two people in question but was not rude about them. I think all members should be afforded the same courtesy.

To be honest Rob don't think mine or Mitch post was rude :salute::

As Scott the brit farmer has suggested, and as a former moderator myself, I think it might be best if we just let this one go.

It was just a general statement to those reading the thread that is all. So many of then turn hostile and end up with deletions and infractions. I think Andy has had his say, you and Mitch have had yours, now we can move on.

No one else needs to add their two cents or drag it into a 12 page debate.

Think that fair

Ok Gents please take it back a notch and try to be civil. There is really no reason to call each other out for pistols at dawn...

As usual, much ado about nothing.I think we all outgrew kindergarten. Lets behave as grown ups and use some common sense. I think we are here to enjoy the hobby and not to insult eachother. That is my humble opinion
guy:)

Sorry but i just have to jump in here....I have been absent from the forum..(Lurking in the backwatwers but not posting) for the last 8 months or so!!. The reason was and still is one to many personal issues going on, but mostly because of these stressfull events i needed now and again a diversion, i felt i could Always find this diversion by talking to friends and fellow toy soldier collectors
over the whole world about our wonderfull hobby. But slowly our forum has taken on a junior school mentality where some seem to feel it necessary to pull each other to pieces, and often for the most petty reasons imaginable!!...So instead of being a pleasure to take part in the forum it just became another tiresome irritation. I have always missed talking to friends on the forum, especially the London Froggers club and my friend in the US. but when i read this post and i see that nothing seems to have changed>>>still the same idiots>>>still the same petty arguments>>>still the same self opiniated attitude from a minority that "ï am always right, so you must always be wrong!!"....only now the knives seem to be even sharper, it probabaly wont matter a **** to most on the forum but maybe i will just stay away for keeps, this is one piece of aggravation i can do without!!!...We had/have a fantastic forum here guys, a place to share ideas>dreams>give each other help>and much, much more!!.....For pitys sake put away the knives, man-up, and lets use this forum for what it was intended to be...A PLACE TO DISCUSS AND ENJOY TOY SOLDIERS!!!!!
