You're too modest Larry. That's a great display.

Some hard to find sets. Congrats on having them in your collection. Took me years to find them and still missing the kubelwagen. Thanks for posting photos of these oldies but goodies. Lawrence

Thank you , Lawrence...Those were my very first K&C toy soldiers...I believe the AK003 Military Police was my very first set...Before that i used to just build my own toy soldiers from kits but i am not that good a modeler as some on this forum...i will post some of the AK that i built & painted for a chuckle...Misc 581.jpg

When did you start collecting as these were some of K&c's oldest WW2 matte figures? Did you pick-up any of their old wood/resin vehicles? As for your modeling skills, they far exceed mine :(. Look forward to seeing more of your collection. Lawrence

Lawrence ,

Well , I was always into Toy Soldiers since i was young...I believe Britains Deetail were my first foray into this hobby other than green army men & matchbox tanks...But , i believe i started collecting K&C around the mid 90's...To answer your question about the vehicles unfortunatly NO i did not pick up any of the old vehicles...which i still regret...I was building my own AFV's from Tamiya Kits...So i was just buying the Toy soldiers themselves @ that time...I just recently joined the Forum & it has rejuevanted my enthusiasm for the hobby...I have been posting some pictures on my profile page of my collection , & i will continue to...I am building a type 95 Japenese tank & repainting a FOV motorcycle crew at this time , i will post those when i get them done...I will post a repaint of one of my oldest TS's , german officer w/map on the right side of the pic...
Thanks...
joe

Hello Lawrence,
The Chinese parade scene is awesome! I truly enjoy seeing any series in parade, the figures to me just take on a different persona. I just imagine and hear the bands playing and get caught up in all the pomp & circumstance!

Glad you enjoyed the PLA on parade. It has been a couple of years since I last saw you at Chicago. Hope all is well and that you are still involved with reenacting. As you like bands - here is another group of oldies
