Good one...TomBIt is a rather interesting thread and I love the Iron Lady quote. Amusingly enough, I think she not only expected criticism but rather thrived on it, having said things like:
I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.
And ....
I love argument, I love debate. I don't expect anyone just to sit there and agree with me, that's not their job.
The best quote I have seen on criticism in not something she said, although I have a certain feeling it is something she would have fully endorsed:
