Hi Guys,
As we all know everyone is entitled to their opinion and, as we also know, it’s impossible to be all things to all people in this hobby ... and perhaps every other hobby too. You are always going to disappoint someone ... somewhere.
That being said, allow me to give my own side of things in order, I hope, for you to get a fuller perspective.
Beginning with “TRYFON” and his comments. Forgive me, first of all, for not using his real name ... he neglected to provide it.
Comment 1 “Older KC (sic) were more dynamic, great battle poses and value for money”
Reply : In recent years K&C have produced a wealth of all kinds of fighting figures in dynamic action poses ... What about many of our “Classic Wehrmacht” soldiers ...? Then what about our “British Commandos” and “American Paratroopers” ... and not forgetting our “Russian Allies” ... ?
Even more recently, our “Old Guard at Waterloo” ... And then there are the attacking “Japanese” and our most recent “Gurkhas” . Perhaps “TRYFON” has not seen our extensive “Custer’s Last Stand” range of attacking Sioux and Cheyenne warriors versus the defending, ill-fated 7th Cavalry.
As most collectors know and appreciate WAR is not all about “bloodʼn’ guts” ... There are quieter moments and lots of them. Throughout K&C’s history we have tried to show all kinds of different aspects of conflict from soldiers tearing each other’s guts out to a soldier bidding a fond farewell to his sweetheart ... sitting around a campfire eating and drinking to ... preparing for battle and tending the wounded after a battle.
There are many different faces of war ... and ‘action’ is just one of them.
Comment 2 “About those Greeks ...”
Reply : “No good” ... Can you be a wee bit more specific ...? Provide photographs of exactly which ones you are referring to.
On a general note ... Why not speak to the dealer you bought them from or ... email me directly. I correspond every day with collectors all over the world.
Last week I just returned from Australia ... Why did you not try to contact me when I was there? Several other collectors who could not attend any of the actual events did and we were able to sort out a few minor problems that had occurred ... ? As well as sharing some excellent ideas and feedback.
Comment 3 “Shame KC (sic) does not go back to its roots.”
Reply: K&C has never left its roots ... We have always aimed to provide our collectors with the best, widest and most numerous of ranges and different series on a regular basis and at a price that the majority of collectors can afford.
A most important part of our “roots” is customer appreciation and service ...
That’s a vital part of why K&C makes a concerted effort to actually go and meet and talk with collectors and dealers all over the world on a personal basis ... year in year out – to Australia, Asia, Europe and the U.S. .
And when we cannot meet them in person ... we email them ... write to them or occasionally ‘phone them too. So “TRYFON” , send me your personal details and I will be happy to talk over your concerns as well as any ideas and suggestions you also might have .
On that cheerful note ... I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Best wishes and happy collecting!
