Hi Guys,
As most of you know for about the last 10 years K&C and yours truly have been fortunate enough to visit “The Land of Oz” every July to meet up with our 3 main Australian Dealers and get together with our growing band of Aussie collectors in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
We also link up with even more collectors who journey from other parts of Australia to join our merry little (not so little actually) “gatherings”.
At these events we get to talk about “all-things toy soldiersand much more besides.
We usually also bring along a specially-built dio to display some of our “offerings” as well as upcoming releases for collectors to preview and comment on.
This year’s dio features “The Battle of Lone Pine” and shows Australian troops storming a Turkish strong point… The photos show the dio from 4 x different sides to illustrate both figures and display.
I hope you like it.
Best wishes and have a great upcoming weekend!
Andy

Andy,

Really nice I am sure we are also going to find some room in a little DIO for some of those brilliant figures.

Mark

Great dio Andy . Gives me courage to continue working on mine
guy:)

Wonderful display Andy & Gordan, love all the trench detail too!

Please don't forget the NZ mounted rifles when you get a chance. I have no doubt the ALH could do with some reinforcements.:salute::

Looks great Andy and I'm looking forward to catching up and chatting about “all-things toy soldiers” and much more besides over an ale or 10!{sm3}

So so good Gordon, really like this series, you have honoured it so well. The figures compliment it of course Andy.:salute::, Robin.

Cool.......:salute::.......hope the pots and pans in the dio are something you will release down the track, those sort of items are most welcome.
Wayne.

Another beauty mate when you gonna head West again ??

Andy, you are most welcome to visit us here on the West Coast, any time, but maybe Wayne & I will have to trek over the 'Great Brown Land' to meet up with you again this year?

John

July...Australia...the wheels are turning...

We loved it the first time we were there and have talked about going back. Sydney was fantastic, and I've always wanted to get back to Peter Nathan's shop, but not at the exclusion of seeing some of the other cities. Is there any pattern to where you all meet up, as the original post makes it appear that there is a rotation in play?

Paul mate,

Dates are as follows:
8th - 10th July Brisbane
11th - 14th July Sydney
15th - 17th July Melbourne

We, being the GLW (Good Lady Wife) and I would be pleased to have you as our guest at our Meet'n'Greet Day & Dinner on Saturday 16th July, 2016 in Melbourne. Our Museum can boast the largest collection in Australia of matte K&C sets produced over the last 25 years.
The hospitality shown to me on my trips to the U.S. in Los Angeles, San Antonio, Chicago and New York has been fantastic and we would love to return the favour to any American collector who visit the Land of OZ.

Cheers from the Land Downunder, Howard

Paul,
The Brisbane Collectors Dinner is on Saturday 9th July. Venue is above Nudgee College Museum where the large diorama displays, made by Jack, Waynepoo and Fitzgibbon etc, that have featured on this forum are. This year our event will have its first mini diorama competition where some of the attendees will bring along small dioramas of varying subjects. Probably safe to say this will be the largest ever Toy Soldier diorama competition ever held in Australia, if not the world ^&grin. The venue is about 10 minutes drive from the Airport.

I know Jack will be uploading images of the dioramas after some changes have been made.

Like Howard and his GLW, my wife and I and local collectors would extend a warm welcome to any out of town visitors.

Brett
PS Minor correction to Howard's dates. Brisbane dates are 9th to 11th.

A Mini Diorama competition would be nice in Texas as Well !

Is anything in Texas small?{sm4}

I think if our Texas and American friends have a dio comp, it will be anything but small! I can almost see the large vans and small trucks loaded up with the dioramas as they head down the interstate to each respective show! ^&grin

As someone who has travelled from overseas (even if it's only across the ditch) to attend the Brisbane K&C Dinner, I can certainly highly recommend it. :salute::

The Aussie lads and their lovely ladies are wonderful folks who will make you feel right at home, plus the weather is superb and you'll meet some great collectors and have loads of fun and make a stack of new friends. {sm4}

The displays at Nudgee College are really quite special too and of course you'll get to meet Andy himself.

Give it some serious thought, you won't be disappointed.

Cheers Toddy
